Never quite matched it's excellent predecessor, the Aisha Tyler years still prove that our favorite improv comedians, Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie, haven't lost a step. Sure, the men may be slowing with age, but there hasn't been another crew of this caliber even during the Drew Carey era. And while Aisha Tyler is nowhere near as capable, she hosts the show as well as she could, considering the real stars are able to carry the show on the shoulders. The invited guests however, are more miss than hit, and though I understand that lawsuits are abound if they pull in audience members for a scene, they should get guests stars that are, well, more entertaining. Instead, many of them were no more than props with no worthwhile contribution. In any case, season 3 and 4 sees the show settling into a nice rhythm and a winning groove. Hopefully they'll get better.

I wanted to like this new series based on the venerable old programs which are still quite hilarious both in the British and later American incarnations with Drew Carey.Alas, Aisha Tyler doesn't yet fit in but she may never fit in. She overdoes her reactions and the men of the program, used to "giving it to the host" for instance Wayne Brady's mock sexual advances to Drew Carey are not duplicated so far on this incarnation. Nor are they ever likely to be, no doubt due to political correctness!Sorry, the chemistry is not there. I don't understand why Aisha can't use her normal voice instead of that affected loud sing-song delivery she insists on. Maybe if she relaxed more she would do better.Go to YouTube instead and watch the old clips which are the real thing.additional comments added 9/16/16: I think that maybe they are finding better ways for the long-time familiar players to interact with Ms. Tyler and she seems to be giving up her affected delivery which never worked. Speaking of her supposed Trans-sexuality for comedic purposes works for the present and if that can be related to her supposed "bossiness" I think they might succeed where they didn't before!

OK so it's not the original. Yes I miss Drew Carey and Charles Esten but the show is still funny. Wayne, Colin, and Ryan are still fall down hilarious. Thanks CW for bringing it back. I truly missed it. The cast still has physical comedy where they can bring you to tears. They know how to bring the subtle nuances and innuendos that play into one's dark humor. I hope they can bring back the original cast for guest appearances. I hope CW does not drop this show, there is such crap out there and I hate much of the reality TV. My comedy's are all but gone. A few make it like New Girl and Raising Hope but you can count on this show to make you cry with laughter if you are somewhat witty. This is not for the slow and blue collar humor that plays into stupidity, it is pretty intelligent humor for the educated. If you are a Honey Boo Boo fan and crap like that you won't understand this.

Everyone who has ever seen a rerun of Whose Line has fond memories of the show. Oddly, I think it was more popular *after* it ended, once they started showing reruns all the time. That was when I got into it, and boy did it get me. More than any other program I've ever watched, Whose Line put me on the floor in fits of laughter. Ryan and Colin are two highly underrated geniuses of comedy, Wayne adds style and energy (not to mention hilarious musical comedy) where Ryan and Colin cannot, and who isn't a fan of the wonderful Laura Hall and her improvisational music? Drew Carey's biggest contribution was making the show happen, and trying to keep it going with Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza. He knew how many people loved Whose Line, and he did everything in his power to give it to us. So how well does this new show stack up against one of the funniest TV programs in American history? The new show is everything we ever asked for. It's unbelievable to think that the original Whose Line started 15 years ago; aside from Colin's white hair(?), it feels just like the old show. The main difference is a new (nicer) stage, some new games like the Sideways Floor Scene, and a new host, Miss Aisha West. But the comedy is every bit as gut-busting as it was in its glory days. I made the mistake of trying to eat while watching the first two episodes. I came very close to having chicken breast come out my nose. Ryan and Colin are still in top form, Wayne hasn't lost a step, and with the cult status of Whose Line, they're getting some interesting guest stars.Fans of Whose Line, our prayers have been answered.
