agm_tcr An incredible performance all the way trough, a character who is build greatly by Kenneth Branagh. Is a British television series adapted from the Swedish novelist Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels, which has been adapted into an English-language for the first time. Kenneth Branagh Portrays a troubled police inspector in this miniseries, and guide us trugh a family environment with real emotion and real poetry despite build it around gruesome crimes, crimes that stuck in his memory when time to forget them could make more sense.
bettycjung 6/28/18. I do like Kenneth Branagh, but this is the first time I have seen him in a series and didn't find him suited for this. It is ok for a crime series, but I found each episode to be way too long (close to 90 minutes, or 1 1/2 hours each!). In the process, the episode loses steam and you can easily forget the story line along the way. If you like crime stories, you may like this, especially if you are a Branagh fan.
Marie Morgan I dislike facial hair on men in general and particularly dislike this fad of "stubble." When I saw the funeral setting that, of course, our overwrought detective MUST attend to further beat himself up, I thought - maybe he'll shave and look respectable. No. When he made a date with beautiful woman, did he shave? No. Evidently he shaves just enough to get "stubble," which I must say does not hide the puffy face and sinking jowls. If I had to work with this bundle of neuroses and questionable judgement, I'd put in for a transfer before he got me killed or fired.
checabear-252-222274 Just coming to the end of binge watching of this series. Really enjoy the stories and the characters. Kind of getting cliché of detective living 24hrs with their work. Like they will start using toothpicks on their eyes to keep awake. I am waiting for the 7 eleven detective series. If this is how detectives work than we would all have dysfunctional police forces. May as well go into Psychiatry. I like the series because it solves the crime in 130 minute. Broadchurch would be solved in the same time had Wallander been assigned to the case. One refreshing thing is, it hasn't been turned into a soap opera. Long running series eventually all fall into this trap. The walking dead was heading into this direction but thankfully characters started to fall. Wonder what the origin series was like.
