Yes Mate. Yes Mate. Yes Mate. Watch this if you love history drama, romance and gore it's the right thing for you. Travis Fimmels preformance is amazing as is everyone else.

The storyline and the character are great. The main character Ragnar is not firm, looked unstable yet stubborn so make the audience feel not too relate with the Great Ragnar.
Another character make you adore them like Bjorn and Lagertha, another make you feel like in the middle of love-hate-relationship like Floki, Aslaug, Ivar, Siggy, etc.
The timeline also confusing, suddenly old, suddenly grown up, suddenly back and forth to the city.
The conflict is good, complicated and make us wondering what will be happened there. Great show!

>>This review is for the 5 aired seasons>>
So, my overall rating is 6. It is 8 for the first seasons and a 5 to 4 for the most recent ones.
The things that I like about this series:
-It feels (felt actually) original
It wasn't shy to kill it's charactersRagnar was an interesting characterIt was historically kind of accurateThe story at first was really entertaining and interestingThe things I didn't like start from season four:
-They started trying to copy Game of Thrones
-They ran out of lands to conquer so they started messing with the characters
-Hate, hate, hate that criple guy, even though he's an interesting character and more well built than Bjun
-Vikings were unstopable. In the first seasons, things were more realistic. But they started being more bold in season four and five. I mean, a whole english army and they were defeated time after time by a small viking army??
-It took them a while to get to Italy at first, by crossing France and such. But then they just traveled there like that, easily and in no time....
So, maybe I'm just disappointed because I loved this show and now it is just tiring to watch.

In the first few seasons there was a decent amount of character development for the main characters. You really felt like you had a connections with the likes of Ragnar, Rollo and Lagertha. There actions and motives were understandable and generally made sense. As a result there was a degree of weight to the series and i would always greatly anticipate the next episode. In the latest few seasons, I almost reluctantly watch the episodes out of a past loyalty to the seasons. More and more characters have been introduced, but they have only served to dilute the series and make it weightless. I feel like i have very little connection with any of the characters because there are so many. The only one of new Ragnars sons given sufficient character development is Ivar and they managed to make me hate him, despite the fact that he is most likely going on to take the lead role in future seasons. Overall, the last few seasons have been incredibly disappointing. The Battles have become increasingly stupid and unrealistic. The Historical Accuracy has gone out the window. The only character i care out about is Bjorn and even his actions are becoming increasingly unrealistic.
