My wife and I just finished Season 1. Fantastic! Gradually through 10 episodes, the chief detective and his two able assistants unravel the crimes behind two murders in a remote, Icelandic town. With a good script and good acting, the many elements of the plot come together at the end in a very convincing and satisfying way. We have watched all the well-know detective series (Wallander, The Bridge, etc.). This series rates with the best. We wanted to binge watch the whole thing, but mostly limited ourselves to one episode per evening.

I'm a crime show enthusiast, and usually I only find British shows to be the most exciting, thrilling and believable. I've watched a couple of Scandinavian shows that were good, but I was hesitant to start this show, knowing I couldn't multitask (as I don't speak Icelandic) while watching. What can I say? I don't regret pressing "play".I can't remember ever having felt so drawn in by something on TV, feeling so close to the characters and to the location. The show is heartbreaking, believable and exceptionally well written and performed. I can't put my finger on any negatives. I don't usually write reviews but for this show I had to write something, so other's will know 'this is not a show you should skip'!

Watch this show!!!! If you enjoyed The Killing, Broadchurch and The Bridge, you won't be disappointed. The subtitles of course take a bit to get used to. However the acting is so strong and plot twists so deep, that you'll suddenly feel like you speak Icelandic, as the show draws you in with all its dark moods and sophisticated writing. The dialogue is so simple and yet brilliantly realistic, that at no time does it get lost within the subtitles. As for the storyline and plot, well it's a binge watching show for sure, the police process is so well portrayed that you'll be constantly on the edge of your comfiest chair and shaking your head. I have no regrets about the tired days at work I've had after pushing past my bedtime thanks to "Trapped"

Only good thing about this TV show is how they represent the main cops in real life. There is no plot except last two episodes. The whole season 1 is a cheap Spanish TV show. They are trying to misleading us from the start but it was obvious that something fishy is happening in this small town.Main character is a chief of police who has no work to do, but he is living with his ex-wife parents in their house and their two daughters and BTW, they are real bullies. From the beginning he does nothing, always making mistakes and all the solutions or disclosure are doing his employees. Like he is always stoned or something just wandering around and telling how that was a good idea if they found out something.
