Tin star is right! The biker bar scenes are a howl as the "(tin)star" is so short only his forehead on up would show if he were standing, so he has to remain sitting at the bar in order to approximate parity with the biker dudes....I'm not against short people but this actor is irritating because he has always portrayed the same "badder than the bad in all of us" characters for quite a few years now; is that all the range he has?,...Predictable vehicle; Rip off lead from Breaking Bad, lots of overlong scenes (no dialog), a camera wandering around in an artsy, failed attempt to equal the cinematography of Twin Peaks...... Because Tim Roth always plays the same character, and is the "(tin)star", we already know he will get away with anything and everything.....and in fairness he has to carry the whole thing himself as the rest of the cast (perhaps due to cost saving) are only adequate actors. So at least 1 good actor needs to be introduced to add balance to this predictable good cop/bad, bad, bad cop western.

The scenery was beautiful. Some of the acting was good, but if you were to remove the f-bomb the entire season would have been reduced to an hour. The plot seems to go off the rails by episode five. Save your time and ears, move on to something else.

I watched all ten episodes. The series began interestingly enough but by the end I found myself hoping that Jim/Jack's daughter did kill him and put him and this awful series out of it's misery. There are so many bad parts to this series it's hard to know where to start. First of all, there are many fine actors in this show and they must have needed a paycheck badly otherwise I can't imagine them signing on for this schlock. Tim Roth's character starts out believable enough but quickly deteriorates into a violent, alcohol swilling bully. Where in real life would someone like this be allowed to continue as police chief? And what did he do to earn the undying devotion of his chief deputy? She turns against him only when he shoots her boyfriend. And the wife. What can be said about her other than she must have a serious mental disorder to switch from loving mom and wife to someone who stands by and watches her husband brutalize others. She kicks him out of the house. No, he's back. She says don't hurt (fill in the blank with any number of people) and then offers him whiskey to bring out his bad side so he will. I could go on and on about every single character in this show. What a waste of talent. Stilted and superficial dialog. Lots of blank stares that I suppose were supposed to be meaningful. What a waste of what could have been a compelling and interesting story. If you are thinking of watching, don't. If you've started watching, save yourself several hours and stop.

A slow build that really packs a punch towards the end! Things are not what they may seem to be! Good watch!
