Sally Warner A great British comedy. I love the fact that it isn't always happy endings and has a somewhat wacky view of the world. It takes a couple of episodes to get into the swing of it. I found it laugh out loud funny. The roles are the usual sort of British oddities (think Monty Python) and I love the way they let you figure it out for yourself rather than hit you over the head with it. A great find. Kiwis they have it on Fatso. The 3 mothers could have a show themselves. They are a combination of all the worst mothers-in-law you could imagine - well in a Britcom anyway.Great fun for those rainy winter weekends indoors. I watched all series one in a single rainy afternoon - fantastic fun.
Jooolie I have completely and utterly fallen in love with 'Threesome', it's childish sense of humour is right up my street! I love all of the characters equally which is rare in a comedy. I think the actors are completely amazing and play the characters really well and I love the fact that it's an English man, an Irish woman and a Scottish man as it adds to the comedic effect. I love how close the three of them are and I feel that my life would be a success if I ended up having such a close bond with my friends (missing out the having a threesome part though). I have recommended 'Threesome' to all my friends even though they all looked at me funny when I told them the name and the plot.
soccerdude716 Alright so I am going to keep this short and sweet. If somehow you only had to watch one show before you could not watch any more shows for the rest of your life, this show would be the one. I am an American viewer watching from a third-party vendor, thank-you Internet, but it is only due to not having access to British Comedy Central. But let me just say this beats many shows that are popular in America out of the water and compares to some of the best written and acted sitcoms like How I Met You Mother, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, COMMUNITY!, and Weeds (just in my opinion). In the end it all comes down to how it made you feel after those 23 minutes are up and this one nails every emotion making you feel like these are some of your pals. Granted, the situation is very unconventional and I would kind of have jealousy that I am not the blood dad of my fiancé's baby but the gay best-mate is but other than that I have no complaints. Great show!!!!!
Kitty aurora I find this show far too adorable to stand. The characters are very lovable and although rather indecisive and same-y in personalities they all stand out as very interesting individuals. I love the alternative family dynamic they are trying out and I am very excited to see how the story plays out. The jokes are very easy to understand without being stupid, crude, or plain offencive. The shows timing and camera shots have much in common with "Spaced" which I find a very nice touch since it's a modern British comedy. I have but one issue with this show, and it's not the only show that does this, and that's the denial of the existence of alternative sexualities such as Bisexual, when Rich said his line about bisexual I actually lost almost all my respect for him as a character who was comfortable with his sexuality (and bending it) and I almost stopped watching because of it, luckily I stuck around and continued to enjoy the show.
