ameerhassansidd Never in the history of drama ever created a masterpiece such as this in the catagory of adventure and expedition. This started cold, deadly, eventfull and gripping with and ended colder, deadlier, eventfuller and mastering the grip.
sepetcenk Outstanding actors, based on an incredible real life event, AMC grade production quality, atmospheric aura, cinematic experience, hard to swallow and heart aching story. Looking forward to watch second season.
Michael Kearns This show sticks with you. The atmosphere, mood, and tone are perfect. It's creepy, tense, and dark. This is a story of hopelessness and fear. I was worried this would just be a monster story and it wasn't. It's really more of a character study and survival story. This acting is phenomenal across the board, the CGI effects and green screen scenery are excellent, the set and costume designs seem realistic to the time period, and the cinematography is the best I have seen in a show in a while. All of this adds to the overall tone and vision of hopelessness. You almost feel like you are on the desolate journey with these men. The story seems to make a full-circle, and if anything this will evolve into an anthology series. It's also worth noting that this is a slow-burn, while there aren't a ton of action sequences, the characters, dialogue, and acting really make up for it. When something does go down, it is very well-done, and the action and gore sequences seem very realistic. If you are a fan of period pieces, suspense, and psychological thrillers I highly recommend checking The Terror out. Give it a few episodes though, the show really gets going after episode 3.
prhayhurst Once I started watch this, I thought, this is really well thought out, great acting and actors portraying characters of the time. Ok a bit slow, but building. Then, by around the last third of the show, I realised that it has what all shows and films of this day and age suffer from, RAMMING A MESSAGE DOWN OUR THROATS! Of course I carried on watching as I'd invested time watching the previous episodes, but especially the last episode just made me laugh. White British explorers are totally and absolutely evil and hateful, though the Natives are lovely accommodating people, never putting a foot wrong, making the captain question himself and his country and go native, yeah, right! Why can't these film or tv makers just make a realistic show? Ah yes, because it would offend far too many activists!! But I tell you what, if they did, the reviews would be great, because normal people don't get offended by ridiculous things, such as historical events portrayed correctly.
