Synopsis

The “Seven Deadly Sins”—a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia—were said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although some claim that they still live. Ten years later, the Holy Knights have staged a Coup d'état and assassinated the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth, the king's only daughter, sets out on a journey to find the “Seven Deadly Sins,” and to enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

darshantejani007 One of the BEST Anime + Manga ever watched. The anime is surprisingly positive, unlike the impression we get from hearing its name for the first time. Even though it starts off slow, it picks up the pace like an exponential curve. This is a must watch whether you are a fan of Shōnen or not. I couldn't stop myself but read the manga on the very day I completed the 1st season. The power- ups are really amazing and carefully thought out for each and every character. This series boasts off its incredible universe just like Naruto. The story-line gets better and better. The art of story-telling of this series is as good as a story from Oda ( creator of One piece). A well thought story from the very first episode, just like the Harry Potter Universe. The story and its characters are perfect blend of Love, friendship, Dreams, Morals and Trust.Even though it shows groping/butt-grabbing of the main Characters in the initial episodes, I request you to please be patient. The manga explains all about it eventually. So please don't lose your mind over that. This is all a part of the plot. Points: 10 points for the animation. Positivity keeps spilling out of the Anime. 10 points for the Characters. I think this is the U.S.P. (Unique selling Point) of the Anime. Every single member the Sins has been given enough backstory. I definitely feel attachment to the characters after one point in time. 9 points for the story-line. Although I would give here 10 points if we were to count in the Manga! Manga fixes the missing links between the past and the present. Still I Can't deny the fact that this anime absolutely takes pride in the amazing story-line! 9 points for the Enjoyment. Though it has its own moments of fun, sometimes you get annoyed over the groping/butt-grabbing. Apart from that, I have sincerely enjoyed the entire Anime.9.5 overall. It's a thrilling, positive, Action-packed, Full of Mystery and Adventurous Anime. To summarize, This is an action-mystery-adventure anime which is going to get loads of better in the upcoming Season 2. I'd suggest you to take part in the Sin of giving this anime a shot. Definitely worth it.
ostaph This show starts off pretty slow for a couple of episodes as it sort of staggers when all the main characters start showing up. The show is very good. The music is amazing, and always changes every few episodes, while keeping the same feeling. The characters are extremely memorable, they all are different aspects of the 7 deadly sins, and thus creating very differing and interesting dynamics between the characters. The story, while sometimes admittedly cheesy, is extremely good and has lots of meaning to it. I was severely depressed before watching this show, but this show really portrayed the beauty of life, the grimness, and the silliness all in a perfect balance that really keeps things interesting throughout every single episode. I would highly recommend giving this show a watch, it's truly something special.
alvaropacio If you haven't seen shounen, you will most likely give it a pass. If you have, you will most likely recognize "strong influences" through the whole thing, it amazes me how every single second of it seems to mimic better preexisting pieces of animation, like a bland colash with a slightly different flavour to it. It has every annoying trope we are tired of and feeds from every well known shounen and that's about it, it does not bring anything new. It ain't that bad, but you have shows like HxH, One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, JoJo's bizarre adventures, Claymore, FMA: Brotherhood... just to name a few, and unlike them this show just does not stand out.
Freak Idiot What starts out as a surprisingly imaginative and seemingly subversive action anime gradually devolves into brainless, drawn out action and tired clichés. Oh well. The show starts out promisingly: the setup is a bit different from your typical fantasy in having wanted fugitives as its main characters, and the colourful cast featuring members like a 30-foot woman and a talking pig give the impression that the show has more creative ideas to come. Some of the character backstories are surprisingly deep and well realized, and partly manage to stay away from the most tired clichés. The moral ambiguity about who's the actual villain of the story also gives a good impression, which is further reinforced by the main character being, in honest, a prick. Sadly the show starts a steady downward slide in quality less than 10 episodes in, and never recovers from that: The action scenes become more ridiculous and drawn out. If you're not a fan of fight scenes where characters shout out the names of their techniques like they're playing Final Fantasy, you're not going to like this anime. The story becomes just another good guys vs. bad guys plot. Things that initially raise intrigue are either rushed, never explained, or drop out of the story seemingly entirely. The pacing suffers a severe dip in quality as the old "having a long conversation in the middle of a fight" storytelling rears its ugly head. A few plot elements and characters appear seemingly out of nowhere towards the end, and vanish just as quickly. One things that does get better is the constant, pandering fan service which is relentless in the first episodes, and gladly almost entirely absent from the last episodes. But that's not a positive, that's a negative that slowly becomes a zero. The Seven Deadly sins is ultimately a disappointing series, and a classic case of wasted potential. If fantasy shounen action is your thing, there's things to like here. The animation's certainly not bad, and there are some creative powers introduced that keep the action interesting for some time. But if you're not a fan of this particular genre, watching more than the first 8 or so episodes is hard to recommend.
