I am so sad that The Originals has been cancelled, awesome job though on the last season and final ending. I was crying because I just felt so connected, thank you for introducing the Mikaelsons even if they are fictional characters!

Brilliant in every aspect, thrilling and funny. With a lot of backstory and little plots going on, besides the central one.
For being a TVD spin-off, and now that the show has ended, i can certainly assure that is far better than the original Serie.I completely loved it, and hope to encourage with this review to go out and attract more people to see it.And i don't want to forget to remark the excellent work of the actors.

I absolutley love this show. There's not so much drama and love triangle, and more drama like The vampire diaries. it's more about family bond, wish is beautiful to see how much these siblings does for each other even if they hurt one another all the time, they stick together. Always and forever. I will miss this show so much!

*If you don't want to know anything about what happens in the show, don't read. Could be taken as mild spoilers (in-depth character analysis)*Although the show started in 2013, I thought I would wait until it ended to write an all inclusive review.I started watching the show in 2015 and I would never change that for the world. It intrigued me when I was watching the Vampire Diaries and the "first" episode or introduction is in season 4. I thought the concept was interesting so I thought I'd give it a shot. Usually, when I tell someone to watch it, I tell them why and what the best and most unique elements are to the show, so I'm going to start listing them here. The first and most important thing I feel about it is how the writers used the point of view of a villain. But this isn't in the "I want to show you why you should hate him" type of view. They chose to show why you should love Klaus and how although he has done many horrible things, you can't hate him. It also helps you understand the point of view of his family and helps you relate to them. The show highlights his flaws and gives you an in-depth perception of his mind, how he thinks, and why he acts the way he does. This tactic brings you inside the brain of a super villain and -- once again -- really tries to push the idea that villains aren't exactly what they seem like on the outside (which, I believe, they pull off very successfully). They also show the viewer almost every event in their life that made each member of the family the way that they are, in hopes that you'll have empathy for them. Every feeling that they aim for you to feel is done in such a brilliant way that will have you attached to every single one of the characters.Another thing that makes this show truly unique is its ability to be interesting without adding in a new love interest the second an old one dies out. If you were to ask me, I would say you can count of the amount of major romances in the show on one hand, however that doesn't make the show any less interesting. This adds to the realism of the show and the non-cliche and not burnt out storyline. The whole show's big premise is Klaus learning how to love and be an honorable man and the writers spin that to be within his family and not necessarily an outside love interest. This is something that Elijah mentions from the very beginning of the show (so, I wouldn't count that as a spoiler) - however, I will leave that to the viewer to watch and see if that is accomplished. Almost every major problem that this family encounters tests Klaus' honorability and what makes the show especially unique is that he often fails. In comparison to its mother show, I think this show can easily stand alone. TVD was pretty cliche and has a relatively amateur feel. It also includes the "helpless girl" who needs a man to save her, and I think The Originals stays pretty far away from that genre as Hayley is a strong female lead, who, especially as the show goes on, proves that she is far from helpless. Rebekah I wouldn't necessarily count as a major lead since she often disappears from the show for a period of time before making a reappearance. *MINOR spoiler* Although some may interpret Rebekah's character as reliant on Marcel at times, I would argue that she's just lost in the idea of love, happiness, starting her own family and coming to terms with what that means to her as a Mikaelson and how she can achieve her own version of that. That idea definitely becomes more present in the later seasons.Going into season 4 I wasn't sure the show was going to be able to live up to what it had previously as there is about a 6/7 year jump at the start of the season. However, not only did the show not lose its footing, it found a new one that added to the storyline even more and set up the show for its eventual close that would come a season later. A big strength in the show is that almost never falters - every episode is at least just as good as the last, and I found myself feeling more for every character's loses and gains.Mostly, I feel like the show overcame a huge feat: making an interesting show for teens that didn't include a ton of puppy-love romance, but still made the viewer want to keep watching. Just for that I think it deserves a chance from everyone. In the end, the show isn't for the weak hearted, but if you have an interest in an in-depth, multi-layered, and non-cliche story, and like the supernatural world, then I think this show is for you. The proof is in the pudding -- it's getting a spin-off. ("Legacies")
