This show was terrible. and if you read the bad reviews they give a specific list of what the don't like, unlike the blanked statements from the good reviews that say nothing. So let me be specific. The leading male is childish with humor so banal you as audience can predict what he is going to say. Every situation is approached like there is no past or future, story or through line. As if each situation, the first idea spit out is the result. Story line is forced, and the keep trying to salvage the humor with sight gags like "he's now driving a trolly bus." or "he's on a boat so give him a captians hat" or "half beard half bald, hahaha." One previous viewer said it best, eight year old children would have wrote the same script.Examples from the final season final shows, they move into a house full of guns and explosive, so they have to move somewhere far away, for some reason, not down the street or nearby, and no one notices explosives in the piano or guns in every crevice while living there until they writers ran out of ideas. That is the writer formula. Make some quick gag jokes, and when you run out, move or kill someone or something absurd and then move again.Did will forte really think the more he said "i have a warm glass of lemonade for you (his pee)" it would eventually become funny? anyone who said this show is genius is insulting every long running emmy award winning show that worked hard to be creative and keep its audience. Look at the profiles of those who left good reviews. You'll see all they do is prop up failing projects (probably for hire). The last shows had his brother, who was a scientist and somehow came back from being gone, tracked a massive heat signature to some remote spot only to find nothing. Then gives up. Apparently, he's smart enough to use and read satellite equipment, but when he reaches the location, he has no idea and gives up. The then next moment a horde of people leave the ground. Then the show is cancelled. That summarized the whole reason why the show failed. They made the characters too stupid to figure out their own circumstance, the humor to child like to have any meaning or social commentary, and they never wrote a decent solution to a single situation they created. Fortunately they didn't tape enough shows to hit the rerun standard of 100, so we should be fairly safe not to be subjected to this fiasco in the future.

First off this is fictional entertainment so why are so many reviewers complaining about realism!! No one seems willing to give writers any leeway these days. "What, you are focussing on the story and interaction with the characters? Why when there are so many unanswered questions about the apocalypse!?" Ridiculous. Also it's a comedy for goodness sake! The writing is original and fresh and the main character is funny, pitiful, emotional and manipulative (when he is not failing to be manipulative coz he's so dumb). He reminds me of The Dude in the early scenes of the stone cold classic There Big Lebowski except Phil is way more self centred and highly strung. It's a show you can relax into and enjoy just for once don't take it so seriously!!

Until Fox makes one more show explaining what happened after the end of the last frame of the last show. "oh Fart" It's not fair to cancel and leave us hanging like that. Please Fox, one more show to reward us for watching from season one to the end. I enjoyed the show and never missed an episode even though some were better than other. This makes 2 shows now that I will forever be curious to know what happened. Wayward Pines was the other.

I love this tv show, but i am really sick of that random nasty singing, skipping through those parts.
