Synopsis

Stef Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets Callie, a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef welcome Callie and her brother, Jude, into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found. But life has something else in store for the Fosters.

brieingram I love watching The Fosters. Every episode basically says "kids are amazing and potent and can change the world" and also "it's ok if you get angry or make bad choices, speak vulnerably and things will work out". They tackle so many important topics.

suzidap I´m watching on netflix, so I haven´t watched the whole series. What I can say so far (after 4 seasons): it is like a soap opera, in which you get attached to the characters and want to see what happens to them, you will root for some couples, be annoyed with others, and get mad with some of them. In the beggining, it is very interesting, mostly because of the topic about the foster system and the family formation. I just think that they exagerated a bit with the "important issues" and the story gets a little artificial. I understand that it is important to talk about some matters, and the show does it in a really gentle and sensitive way, but sometimes it just seems like too much; it becomes hard to believe that EVERY TIME something really problematic is happening with a group of teenagers. But anyway, it is a sweet show that got my attention and I think it can bring important information as well.

marissa99-88-516505 This show, oh my god. there are so many things i could say about The Fosters. i remember when it first came out and how excited i was to watch it and i can't believe it's almost over. the amount of real life aspects that are played into this show are incredible. i love how they have trans characters, played by actually trans actors. the amount of love that is portrayed in this show, with the message of love is love and the struggle with DACA. this is, and always will be, one of the few shows that is so real. i will forever love this show.

jgkamunye This review is meant to support the show and to inform those who haven't thought of trying the show to go ahead and give it a shot.Fosters is a family- friendly drama that relates to our normal life.If you are looking for a drama where parents or teenagers undergo challenges in life and look for possible solutions to solve them,Its more than enough for you.Its more informative than entertaining but you will enjoy relating the series to some situations in life.I would have given it 10/10 but I am more into Scifi and Fantasy genre than drama.Fosters and shameless are my only fan family dramas I enjoy.
