Okay, I'm not sure. This is actually the first anime I've ever watched. But, if you're just beginning to watch anime I can assure you this will definitively get you into everything about the anime experience!Compared to American movies, especially those by Disney, Pixar, and the likes, it has a storyline like no other. The storywriting is amazing and everything from the uniqueness of- well, I wish I could tell you! But you just have to watch it yourself! If you get attached to characters, especially when playing games or watching movies, then this TV show is for you. Connecting with the characters you can easily feel what they feel, and it will leave you wanting more. Attaching yourself to multiple characters, seeing from their eyes and their point of views, it changes everything and makes it so much more important to you. Please, I cannot recommend it enough. Especially if you're just experimenting with anime. Don't care if others call you "Weebs" or "Anime Lovers". They just won't, and don't, understand, until they watch it.And yes, I may be a first time anime watcher, so this review might not be en point to any other anime, but being a first time watcher that means I can definitely give you the point of view from a beginner, and that's what's most important to getting more people into watching it, no?10/10, absolutely amazing. I will be watching this again.

I had my doubts when I began watching this show, but it turned out to be very entertaining. Overall the show is very funny and lighthearted, with wonderfully cute romance. While the show can be quite naughty at times (the main character is a bit perverted and looks suggestively at several girls), no full nudity is ever shown, and there is no implied or off- screen sex (as far as I can tell). The show is also considerably exciting, as the main characters face off against several villains throughout the four seasons. Though the graphics and animation of this show aren't top-notch, it's still an excellently crafted anime, full of bright colors, catchy music, and a plot that makes you want to watch more and more.

Basically my problem with this show is the lack of respect towards human life and the warped sense of romance presented here. If you've seen love Hina this is very similar in that the protagonist of the story is kicked around a lot. In Love Hina it was somewhat funny, but in this it was just down right demeaning. This guy who is brought to this magical world against his will is now treated as basically a slave, although he's referred to as a familiar, basically a pet that is supposed to serve their master. Except he's the only familiar who is a human, all the other one's are some kind of animal and yet even they get treated better. Some how this young man from modern day Japan is all accepting of this situation. Why? Why wouldn't he just explain to this girl the situation? Never once in the show is it properly explained, a little here and there, but he never actually makes an effort and yet after her treating him like crap he still likes her, come on now why not the maid? At least she was nice. Maybe girls will like this show, but guys you will not.Overall the story and especially the romance amongst the characters in this show failed to add any realism even for the world in which they lived.

The animation isn't the best quality if you compare this to Kanon 2006 or the two Rozen Maiden series but it isn't a problem. Sounds are also not topnotch but the voices are very well chosen (especially the voice of Louise. great voice with lost of emotion and variation.). The main reason why i will recommend it is the story. The story about a boy who accidentally gets transported to another world and has to serve the one who got him there (a girl) ain't new, but what is is that it is brought in such a fashion that you notice small changes in personality. This enhances the pleasure of watching greatly. Also the interaction between the characters is of high quality. In all it is really worth watching this series and re-watching it to see all small details they carefully inserted into the series.
