Reviews

georgegeorge-20124 From a point forward I continued watching just to see how pathetic and ridiculous this series could become even though I was getting more frustrated minute by minute. The acting is good but it really lacks a quality plot. I seriously would suggest stay away from this it's just a waste of time.
savelyevakatya Brilliantly balancing between farce and tragedy, this series grasps your heart from the very start and doesn't let it go till the finale, and even for quite a while after it. As a true masterpiece, it doesn't say anything directly, you just find yourself deeply involved in the plot and start commiserate with the protagonists. The young actors who play them are both amazingly talented and the rest of the cast are fantastic. The narration is witty, the characters are credible and the plot is extremely realistic. The whole thing is a real gem!
alouminotavros It is hard for me to watch any type of series with blah-blah-blah zompies blah-blah-blah knights and generally I hate all blah-blah-blah soap operas. To be fair, I had read an article about the music of this one. And I was curious to see it or maybe, to hear it. So this was really good! Good scenario, good actors and good music. Without too much blah-blah-blah. Not boring. I vote for 8 and believe me, I am hard to give 8. I am old enough and I have seen a lot in my life. And I am cross-grained person anymore. But must to be honest. Nice!
peterjdickinson Forget the tired old formula of dragging out never ending stories with 22 42 minute episodes where nothing happens until the mid-season and season finales. This daring show throws you eight 20 minute episodes filled with wit, laughs, terribleness and character development rarely seen on TV. It's beautifully odd with amazing writing, cinematography and outright superb performances by the two leads who play characters you shouldn't care for but absolutely love. This certainly isn't network fare with Jessica Barden's foul mouthed Alyssa and Alex Lawthor's scrawny not really psycho James. The chemistry between them is so good yet surreal, natural and sweet. I don't know whether it will or should continue because it did what it set out to do and did it so very well. It completely defies convention of modern TV. Bravo.
