EP1 So I Had This Great Idea... Oct 04, 2005

Adam Carolla introduces the premise of the show, and work begins. He plans to buy a house with his own money, renovate it, and sell it for over a million dollars. He looks at some houses before buying his childhood home from his father. He brings in a band of his old friends to help him with the project, and they start demolishing the house. They plan to start virtually from scratch and have the house ready to sell in 13 weeks.

EP2 The Fellowship of the License Plate Oct 11, 2005

With one week under the tool belt, Adam's childhood home is still being demoed, but it's more than just walls coming apart as they begin week two. The crew falls behind, police threaten to arrest Adam, and he awaits news of his wife's possible pregnancy.

EP3 The Robbery Oct 18, 2005

It's week three and the crew needs to pass inspection so they can begin framing. The site is robbed, and Adam leads the speculation into "whodunit". A diction coach is brought in to help Ozzie with his Nicaraguan accent. The crew gets pampered at a spa.

EP4 Who Framed Adam Carolla? Oct 25, 2005

The temperatures and tempers heat up at the Carolla house. Several mistakes cost Adam money and Ozzie gets sensitive about his BBQ. Adam and Lynette return to the fertitility clinic and Adam's 16 year-old nephew joins the crew.

EP5 Dentists, DVDs and Debauchery Nov 01, 2005

Adam has his hands full in week 5 of his home renovation project. He visits his dentist for a little root canal, his crew are more interested in discussing their favorite DVDs than in actually doing any real work, and Adam helps to celebrate his grandmother's 92nd birthday. He's a busy man, but Adam still finds time to choose porn names for himself and buddy Ray.

EP6 Send In The Troops Nov 08, 2005

Week 6 of 'The Adam Carolla Project' has arrived, and Adam's crew gets some much needed help from The Seabees (Construction Battalion). Steven is promoted to foreman, replacing Billy, who is none too pleased with this new development. And Ray goes about his construction work in his own inimitable style: wearing thong sandals and fetching tools on his bicycle.

EP7 The Heat is On! Nov 15, 2005

During a heat wave, temperatures rise for another reason: Adam's friends are spending more time on the house than he is due to his upcoming show.

EP8 Nail in the Head Nov 22, 2005

Plot of this episode is not specified yet.
Please check back later for more update.

EP9 Chasing Rainbows Nov 29, 2005

Week 9 has Adam urging his crew to be practical, and finish tasks early instead of wasting time 'chasing butterflies and rainbows'. The swimming pool is installed in the backyard, and it's Adam's nephew Anthony's last week doing construction work with the "band of unemployable idiots."

EP10 Quitters, Inc. Dec 06, 2005

Chaos reigns as the renovation project moves into week 10. Steven, Ray and Billy all quit the job site, Adam's new talk show premieres and Ozzie starts a grease fire when he decides to barbecue inside the garage. Will the guys return to work? Will the garage survive? Tune in and find out.

EP11 There's A New Foreman In Town Dec 13, 2005

With just 2 weeks left to complete the renovation, Adam's extremely busy. His work crew fails several more inspections, his assistant Matt quits, and Billy threatens to leave the job site yet again if new foreman Chris doesn't give Rene back his job. Yet with all this chaos Adam's still confident that the project can be done on time.

EP12 Selling It Like It Is Dec 20, 2005

The end is in sight as Adam's renovation project enters week 12. All that's left to do are some finishing touches to the paint work, closet doors and carpet installation. Jimmy Kimmel pays a visit to the house to check on its progress, and Adam takes a look at friend Kathy Griffin's disaster-ridden home.

EP13 Selling It Like It Is Dec 20, 2005

The finishing touches are being put to Adm's renovated childhood home as 'The Adam Carolla Project' enters its last week. The house is readied for potential buyers, Adam bid farewll to his Loveline radio gig, and his "band of unemployable idiots" gathers for one last flap meat barbecue.

pjames10 I got into this show while hanging out with my fire chief, handyman brother in-law ('nuff said on hitting a target audience!) He loves it so much he's dvr'd the whole season and it ended up sucking me in too. It's not so much a "how to" show as it's "watch these idiots (meant fondly) do a days work." When I think about reality TV and what it's done to people, seems to me some folks go through life as if they are starring in their own reality show. They look at the world through the screen of their smartphones, disassociated, uninvolved, cynical... symptoms of a post-reality TV mindset. I don't get that strange ugly effect from The Adam Carolla Project. I don't get the same "phoniness." Don't get it twisted, I understand the artifice that's inherent in cutting together this genre (I saw a thing on cable about it) yet the crew is authentically dysfunctional, distracted, dense, lazy and funny as heck. I hope Adam Carolla cops another house. I may renew my cable (or I could wait 'til I'm back with my sister and her husband and watch it one shot!)
codeE If you have ever worked construction this is for you. Every person on the show is someone you have worked with. The guy with the flip flops that insists that he works better with his naked toes exposed. The guy that you can only understand every fifth word he says and cooks a mean BBQ. The guy who smokes around highly flammable chemicals. The guy who explains things he is going to do with such confidence and vigor that you forget that he doesn't know what the hell he is doing. The anal inspection guy who sees fault in every little thing. The public health guy that sees a toxic nightmare in everything and his assistant in the spacesuit who finds nothing. The only thing that is missing is the guy with the truck and pager that shows up, yells at everybody, leaves, and then takes all the credit. Funny stuff. ............Well I guess it was to subtle and wasn't lowbrow enough for the man show crowd, and too much for the trading spaces crowd. Judging from its hasty departure that is. Bummer.
