Synopsis

That '80s Show is an American sitcom that aired from January through May 2002. Despite having a similar name, show structure, and many of the same writers and production staff, it is not considered a direct spin-off of the more successful That '70s Show. The characters and storylines from both shows never crossed paths. It was a separate decade-based show created because of That '70s Show's popularity at the time.

Reviews

jDriftyx82 One of the main reasons why 'That '80s Show' was unsuccessful and short-lived is because it aired in the middle of That '70s Show's run. If it was released after That '70s Show ended then it probably would have done better. It also would've been cool if there were some cameos from That '70s Show. Since Corey is supposed to be Eric's cousin. Even though that connection didn't totally make sense. All in all, it's a decent TV show. Some characters are interesting, some are not. Tuesday grew on me and Roger became much more interesting. I would give this show 7/10.
matt28-2 this show was better then that 70's show any one who had made bad comments really did not watch the show loved it wish they would bring it back. if they ever do i think they should do a reboot and leave it on for people to pay attention and get to know the characters and probably needs some fresh episodes i enjoyed it when it was on and i hope to see more of it in the future. i hope they will also bring in more characters and add some other locations if you haven't seen the show they have not released a DVD but they have the episodes floating around on the internet you can find some on you tube in parts and in torrents but some are in poor quality i recommend that you watch the first 4 episodes and to get others to watch it maybe if fox notices the increase in fans they will do a reboot
cryptkeeper86 That 80's show was so promising! That 70's show was a lot much too teenage (not that I didn't like it though) but the 80's one was soooo more adult! There was no Kelso like (the basic dumbass) they didn't play much on the "foreigner" side of "their Fez". And Tuesday guys!!! God I wish they kept going on with them! Starting with this unbelievable quote: (Tuesday):"So I'm punk. Deal with it!" (Corey): "You're not punk! You're retro! See, punk was like 6 years ago, and I know. I was at a Sex Pistols concert while you were listening to the Bay city Rollers in your Barbie jammies!" Oh! vlam! in your face !!! Seriously this show could have lasted more if Americans had my sense of humour (ahaha! Yeah I'm getting a little magelomaniacal so what?) Please someone must have really liked this show as much as I still do?
bluecommunist That 80's show was yet another sitcom that catered to a specific generation. Due to lack luster ratings it was canceled after only thirteen episodes. After watching all thirteen episodes earlier today, I have come to the conclusion that the oft made comparison to that 70's show is unfair. That 80's show has far less in common with its 70's counter part and more in common with period 80's sitcoms like family ties.Instead of focusing on the circle of friends and their comic antics, that 80's show derives two thirds of its content from the extended family dynamic with very little success. At the same time the show neglects the most interesting characters.I can see why the show flopped, Characters such as the bisexual gold digger, the father, the cutesy save the planet sister all do not add much to the show. The Son also presented a rather obtrusive barrier to me as well. There were only three reasons I found to watch the show. The bizarre stories from the record shop owner, the theme song(which ironically mocks the 80's) and most importantly Tuesday. If you are like me, you were only watching the show to see Tuesday, and let me tell you that every second of air time she got was worth it, unfortunately it wasn't very much.
