I watched the first episode and wasn't really interested as there were other good shows on my list and not enough time. I recently revisited it and was really surprised. It is insanely hilarious. Such a fresh take on society, taking the middle ground between extremes that drive today's narratives. It mocks both genders but also celebrates them. Same with everything else in society. Ladies own their role completely and then jump beyond into madness which I see as hyper reality, as it shows what is behind every person. The madness we try to hide. I can't believe this has such low ratings, but then again, most popular shows cater to wide masses that can't understand this level of satire. Most people could not take the burden of knowledge of how crazy the society really is. My humor is similar. I tell people crazy stories about what I do and about my thought processes and I can see clearly, by their reactions, how aware they are of what drives them. Perfect 10. Go ladies!!

Ok people. This is not a documentary, it's a comedy. The intention of a comedy is to use exaggerations to make you laugh. This show obviously exaggerated the worst aspects of certain people in this profession and is in no way intended to accurately represent the profession. How boring would it be to watch a show about people of any profession who were not flawed and executed every aspect of their job free of error. I personally find the lack of political correctness and sophistication is the joke-telling refreshing and appealing. Just relax and allow yourself to enjoy something for God's sake.

You have to give this series a chance, it's a real grower after the first few episodes, and they obviously upped the budget for season 2. Teachers isn't meant to be taken so seriously (as a comedy, even??), the writing's half-decent, the characters are sufficiently oddball to tweak your interest, good comic fun among all the actors, although I particularly like Kate O'Brien's Mary Louise the starry-eyed Christian with the hapless love life. Teachers deserves better, the 6-star rating is a bit laughable really!PS So Teachers started up again for Season 3 and still looking good, although they seem to have lost Feldman for a bit which is a pity, somehow doesn't seem comically complete without Cate Freedman. I meant to say in the original review to look out for the finale to Season 2 ... it's a CLASSIC!!!!

I've seen many terrible tv shows in my life, but this is by far, the Worst! Not funny. Dumb, and so full of the most unbelievabe attempts to be humorous without coming close! They should atleast give them scripts that would allow them to act human. No one,(not even toddlers) has a lower level of immaturity as these adults play on this show. And the kids on the show must surely need therapy after each season with the ignorant attempt at satire on this show. Every teacher should be offended to say the least. Need to be cancelled and the producers should issue an apology immediately.
