This is one of those shows your'e either going to like or absolutely hate. Personally I like it. The dynamic between eddie and sam is cute. Sam's recent past of being a wild drug and alcohol abuser is not believable. shes is just too rainbows and sunshine to have so recently crawled out of such a dark hole but that's fine with me. If It was more realistic I'd probably get depressed. This is something for people who want something lighter than some of it's very serious relatives but not quite in the sitcom territory. I like how silly sam is and how serious eddie is and how she brings the fun out of him.

I really enjoy this show! Eddie and Sam have chemistry, the storylines are too obvious, and it even has some comedy. Definitely recommend.

Let's just get the obvious out of the way, here: Take Two is not particularly ground-breaking television. From the creator of ABC's hit "Castle"...well, we all know that this deal was a no-brainer for the network. A show that could earn them ratings potentially on-par with Castle (which, at its peak was a fairly popular show)...sign them up, right?
So yes, I know that "Take Two", on paper, seems pretty mediocre. Let's also admit that Rachel Bilson is not the best actress ever - but goddammit - she's beautiful, and cute to boot. She adds a certain irresistible charm to this show - even when it's somewhat flawed. What can I say, I'm a fan. Despite the only average plot lines so far, and minor holes that have popped up in "Take Two" so far, I must say, I'm really not worried about the quality of the show, and anyone who's seen the original "Castle" will agree...it's MEANT to be a lighter police procedural. When you're sick of "Criminal Minds", "SVU" and all that more brutal stuff...flip on this show for a break. They're still solving crimes but they don't take themselves too seriously. I mean, let's be real: the great Richard Castle, whom everyone revered as a bestselling writer? He played laser tag in his uppercrust NY apartment whenever possible. Richard Castle knew how to have fun, and "Take Two" is nothing but good fun. People still watch TV for fun, don't they? Now if only it will last more than one season; that's the real question.
