What a great idea. I was really interested to learn about that time in music and the birth of Rock n roll. Sadly this is not it. The stories of all the characters are shallow because there are to many story lines going on at the same time. The story of the studio and the artist gets buried in Sam's drunkenness/pill popping/infidelities. Not what I signed up for. Instead of getting a glimpse of that amazing time in history of music,, we get the story of a man that is not really that interesting. PS: the main character is a copy of Mc-Fly from back to the future.

Sun Records had a strong start - I loved the 1st episode with all the promise it brought with it. But by the 2nd episode it became clear the focus would be on the Sun Records management team. We're now up to #5 and I don't even know if I'll tune in - had they maintained the focus on the music and musicians it could have maintained its beginning charm. Now it's just barely watchable.

The movie is good. I like it. Probably It would be much better if we speak mainly about Elvis' life not Sam Philips. Elvis' life is a real story of a boy growing up in that windy time in Tennessee. But I am happy about that movie. For me that's how real life should looks. Imagine the world that way. We would live more real and happier life. And I didn't know that sky*e was existed through 50's. I wanna everybody hearing the voice of sky*e. The time is - 4th episode, 21:41m.

Super impressed with the first episode. Not one dull moment, great pace, excellent writing and the acting is superb. The guy who plays Dewey Phillips is amazing as well as the guy playing the Colonel. Chad Michael Murray believe it or not is excellent- yeah that surprised me too. The guy who plays Elvis has an excellent voice. If there was any justice, if the rest of this series maintains thus level, they would sweep the Emmys next year but there isn't any cause none of them are playing full on retards.
