This was a really awesome episode, and seems like it will only get better as the season goes on. It provides what a family who has a child with a disability goes through on an every day basis. From rude people, difficult accommodations, family stresses, and so much more that we wouldn't normally second guess. The message was conveyed as that the son with cerebral palsy is a human, and should be treated like one no matter if he is in a chair, or cannot talk vocally. Others on the show treated disability as in inspiration before they even know who he JJ is. But with the lack of accessibility from the school puts a damper on things very quickly for the mother figure. This was an amazing episode to just start and begin how a family may be with a child with a disability. They are still a family, just in a little bit of a different way, and different challenges that may come around on a daily basis. I would 100% recommend this film to everybody!

The show is hilarious with touching moments and well written characters. My only issues are concerning all the negativity towards Ray (who seems to be the saddest, unluckiest kid on Earth). At least give the boy one lucky day it's becoming annoying. Yet he solves majority of the family conflicts. Also the mother is always overbearing towards JJ which is brilliant and cringing at the same time. She can be beautifully loving and tenaciously wicked in an instant. JJ and Kenneth are hilarious together. The father and Dylan are also an hilarious duo.

I love Speechless the only show I look forward to every week! Best show on TV! Must see for everyone! I love the episode where they go on a road trip hilarious when Ray (Mason Cook) plans behind their backs and Dylan (Kyla Kenedy) says "I am my curly haired mother's daughter"! This show literally makes me laugh out loud!

This show makes me literally laugh out loud. Love the guy who plays JJ's voice, Kenneth-great acting and perfect comedic timing. The comedy is not over the top and I feel the writers must have the same sense of humor as I do. Watched the episode today where the dad and Kenneth are trying to find something they have in common and it was my favorite so far.
