danigirlrocks Shake It Up, is always in my top ten of Disney favorites. Rocky and Cece are hilarious, and spunky. I love how the show is all about friendship and pursuing your dreams. The dancing is amazing, and so is the friendship. There's no other show like it on TV. Every show has different dances, and they don't just use your typical dancing- they expand into all different cultures. They're always getting into trouble and then getting out of it. My family and I used to always sit on the couch and watch it together, and I'd always beg my mom to get me clothes like Zendaya and Bella. Do you know how hard it is to get my 17-year-old and 12-year-old brothers to watch a show with me? This one was able to catch their attention and that's saying something. Zendaya and Bella Thorne are amazing actresses, and it really shows in Shake it Up.
Shopaholic35 I must admit that I am a Disney addict and completely love the early work and happily enjoy the live-action new Disney. Shake It Up is a great show for when you want to relax and turn off your brain for 30mins. It's not groundbreaking TV but it does have some great dance & music numbers and an adorable cast (Bella Thorne & Zendaya are fast becoming young style queens). It can be luck of the draw as some episodes are pretty good, others not so much but I find it is a lot better than some of the other tween shows out there. So if you enjoy reverting back to your childhood every now and then or alternatively are a child then give it a shot. It's really not as bad as you might think.
justinjack64 Okay, everyone on here is calling the worst show and all that but clearly they haven't seen Jessie or Austin and ally because if they did I guarantee they'd disagree but I digress. Sure the writing and character development could use some tweaking but it actually is a quality show and I believe Disney channel is actually doing some thing good with this show. I enjoy watching this with my little brother and it really is no problem. I think the show should be given A chance instead of being ridiculed just because its Disney and its not entirely what they want. Zendaya and Bella Thorne are okay actresses and I believe that this show is the best on Disney channel. I mean if it were truly that bad would it still be on? No! And that is essentially what I think about the show
janaegeez I tried to watch this show to try out Disney again, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. I like the cast but I don't like their characters very much. The dancing is pretty repetitive, especially for a show ABOUT dancing. I have seen some of these actors in other titles and they were pretty good so I don't understand how these people signed on to this without a guilty conscience. I think Disney would be so much more enjoyable as a family channel if I had invested in better writers. This is my opinion towards many of the shows on Disney right now. It makes me sad to see programming like this when it was so much better a few years back. Not saying Disney should move backwards, but it would not hurt to try and incorporate jokes that a larger audience can understand and not so much overacting as it is very noticeable a quite especially when they play the laugh track SO often
