I binged watched this in 2 days, so it keeps you entertained. The acting is superb, but the story does drag. Many have complained about what Marie told her husband right before he took the stand, but I get it: she told him his team leader put a hit out on him, so he kept his mouth shut to stay alive. I have two problems, however. I don't believe Brenton's mother would have thrown away the seagull she found in his hospital bed. She was OBSESSED with everything about her son, and I know she would have saved it. Second: Nadine's murder. Sure, it's possible to o.d. the first time you shoot up heroin, but there were NO indications of a struggle before she died? THE only witness dies right before she's set to testify, and they're like, "oh well." Bull. You won't get the sentence you want, but that's making a point. This is a social commentary on today's America- and many won't like it, but it's worth the watch.
