Reviews

dtucker86 I remember watching this series hosted by the son of our former President Gerald Ford. It was fascinating for a person who loves history as much as I do. The Secret Service does a lot more then just protect the President and this series brought those stories to life. One I remember was where they told of the attempted assassination on President Reagan and afterwards they had Jim Brady and his wife do a PSA on gun control and the Brady Bill. Another episode that I fondly remember was about this incredibly courageous (and very young and beautiful) blonde Secret agent. She was incredibly brave and sassy and savvy. Her mission was to go undercover and take out a gang of criminals who were throwing "parties" for rich clients as a front. During the course of her mission, this courageous young agent's cover was blown and she was captured and taken prisoner. I remember she was gagged and bound hand and foot by the bad guys. It was only by a miracle that she was rescued by her comrades.
irish44 "Secret Service", narrated by Steven Ford, son of President Gerald Ford, was unique in the field of "cops 'n robbers" TV shows. The stories were adapted from real U.S. Secret Service cases. Former Secret Service agents consulted with the production company to ensure realism. The scripts and dialog were superb! The bad guys (usually counterfeiters, mobsters or would-be assassins) were always brought to justice by the very professional men and women of the United States Secret Service. Occasionally, Steven Ford would comment on his father's admiration for the Secret Service, having saved his life twice during attempted assassinations in 1975.
