greenobp What an awesome show for all ages. My teen aged daughter and I laugh out loud through every episode. Love it!What a courageous role for Anne Heche. And she performs it expertly. This is a show that dares to bring God into the storyline, but with a contemporary—yet respectful—approach. The humour is smart. The lead character is far from perfect; we can relate to her pledge to become a better person. We may not have the direct line to God like she does, but we share the inner voice guiding us and challenging us to be 'good'. It is so refreshing to find a show genuinely funny, well written, and original. With guest stars like Betty White, how can it go wrong. This show deserves a chance to find its audience.
Eric I was skeptical before I watched the first episode. Didn't want to be missioned. But I really liked every one of the way too few episodes.Luckuly it wasn't morally waggling with some profound messages. Instead it showed a really charming and quite amusing way to handle the crazy idea called god.It is really sad the show got canceled. Although it's surprising there were after all 7 Episodes of it, before this heresy was banned from TV. Guess, you can't make a crazy person laugh about the voices in it's head.God damned hypocrites! May they all slowly die of Syphilis.
smileybug-356-78305 I love this show! I have always liked Anne Heche, from way back in her soap opera days. She is wonderful in this. Very uplifting and fun. Funny but not in the usual slapstick, one liner, sitcom way. Hope this show gets good reviews and a lot of followers. Love to see it picked up again next year. Anne gets a second chance at life, family, and friends after she accidentally chokes on a sandwich. God has intervened and helped this misguided, alcoholic, joke of the neighborhood, become the person she has always wished she was. Now it's just convincing the rest of the people in her life that she indeed has changed, God really does talk to her, and she is definitely NOT crazy. Different storyline for a sitcom. Refreshing.
Mike1388 I haven't written any reviews for quite sometime now on IMDb, but seeing Save Me's rating, I thought I should contribute something. I just finished watching the first and second episodes of Save Me, and I feel it was a perfect fit.Over the years we have seen comedy shows trying to be different and stand out, but sadly, most of them failed. I am not saying Save Me won't face the same verdict, but from what I've seen so far, it is a good TV. Anne Heche played this neurotic yet bubbly housewife character, who think she can talks to God, or can she? And accompanying her is the always dashing, Michael Landes who stars as her husband. Let's hope this one stays!
