I don't write imdb reviews....but 3 episodes in, with the pilot being a a terrible modern day make over, but it was a necessity for the rest of the show. These guys deserve a chance. What's Rush Hour? An LAPD detective teaming up with a Hong Kong detective, it's NOT about Tucker and Chan. I am 3 episodes in, and liking the show more and more. Its actually about a trio, not a duo! Carter's cousin is around ALL the time, helping solve cases, and even chasing bad guys!Lighten up, stop being a negative nancy and comparing this show to the movies. You'll enjoy it A LOT more.

Honestly, I was very sceptical when I heard that they were doing a Rush Hour TV show. I was so determine not to watch it because, really, the movies were a classic and no way can the TV show be a successful hit. I was right when I read that it was cancelled after the first season. But then, I kept seeing interviews for it and both the actors seemed very charismatic and likable, so I got my hands on the series and gave it a go. I surprised myself when I heard myself genuinely laughing. And as the show went on, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure, Justin Hires is no Chris Tucker nor is Jon Foo Jackie Chan. But hey, they are not meant to be. One is a loud mouth detective and one is a detective from Hong Kong--hence the show is called Rush Hour for that reason--but with their own quirks and personalities, and of course, their own stories. The show does have action, it does have comedy; and chemistry, they are definitely getting there. If it was given a chance at a second season or third, perhaps we could see a Sherlock and Watson kind of of bond...or Joey and Chandler...or Walter and Jesse. And by then if it's still not a hit, it's never too late to cancel.I'm not saying that everyone should like it, as it's each to their own. I'm just saying it deserves more than just 1 season.

Just watched the pilot of the TV adaption of the 1990s classic "Rush Hour" what a waste of time! The show does not try to be it's own thing and rehashes classic scenes from the original film only much much worse. The chemistry between this iteration of Lee and Carter is non existent and the actors try their best to replicate Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker's version of these characters, but miss the mark reminding you that this has been done better before. The comedy used in this show is again a rehash of the first film. All the jokes are taken almost directly from the original script only delivered poorly and without the same intensity. The fight choreography is pretty good for a TV show but pale in comparison to the mastery we have seen by the great Jackie Chan.TL:DRRush Hour 2016 - 4/10This pilot is a constant reminder that the far superior version has already been done and seen before. Go re-watch Rush Hour 1 and 2
