This TV Series BROKE MY HEART more than ANY Television series I've ever watched. And I'm watching a LOT MORE movies now that we have devices like Apple TV, DVR, Firesticks and such. I am able to comb through 30 years of viewer content and I know a REAL GOOD FEEL GOOD show when I see one. this one had me really into it the FIRST 2 SEASONS, and part of SEASON 3. Then I was BETRAYED. I could not stomach this show after they broke my heart with the WORST story-line build up and HEART STABBING ever. Rosewood met a waitress who was a single mom. They DREW YOU IN with their love story. This is a GREAT MAN and to meet a good woman he could finally connect with and their relationship looked like it was out of the storybook. Not only that he was WILLING and really good at being a father to this single moms daughter and seemed to be building a great bond with the daughter. THEN you were drawn into the love story and then BOOM they hit you with a black single mom STEALING from him and leaving with no word. I could NOT BELIEVE what I had just seen. I just knew this was it for him that he found true love and a family. I'm a black single mom MARRIED 10 years now and in a GREAT relationship. I just KNEW my story was getting told although my husband not a rich doctor but he is a provider. OMG I DIED a HARROWING DEATH after seeing what the writers did to this good black man as a result of giving his ALL to a single mom and her daughter. I could NEVER watch this show again, and I"m soooo glad they CANCELLED IT because I KNEW where this was going. They already had the Lesbian theme in there. Now they have this successful black man who can't have a good relationship with ANY black women, not even his Latina partner no good coming from that, just volatile. Then a single mom steals from him. I know where this show is going. He was going to meet and find a WHITE WOMAN to date , he and the WHITE WOMAN are going to have this passionate, trusting, beautiful relationship, they are going to have MIXED KIDS and this is the only way a black man can be happy. OR they are going to show him becoming a GAY man and thats the only way he can find true love. ALL these movie themes are going this way for black people content. Find a White Person to date and Love or Gay love is the way you find love. you know I'm really hoping this RACISM and PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE ENDS on the black race. Even if its BLACK WRITERS they need to be fired.

Spoilers do follow. If you are expecting something unpredictable, forget it. I was super excited when I started watching the show and out of the gate they had a lesbian couple in a prominent role - the lead's own sister - but that was short lived. Predictably, they ended the couple by making sure we knew one of them had a rich, deep heterosexual history and was about to start questioning again. I stopped watching after the 'Mitchie' episode because the writing really made no sense. They started out making a really strong statement with the Tara character - she walked away from a hunky FBI agent, a massive amount of money, and even suffered separation from her parents for YEARS because she was THAT SURE about her relationship... Then in the span of an episode all of that solid writing was tossed in the bin. Just, tossed right into the bin. She's only sure when she's actually 'with' her partner, so the rest of the time she's actually into dudes! Makes perfect sense to me...It's bad writing. That coupled with the almost, not quite, almost again, oh wait no, almost OMG YES with the main characters... it's exhausting to even watch. I get that the male lead is supposed to be this hot, charismatic playboy and they want him with a lot of different women, but give it a break already. The show is more about the relationships and less about the science, and the relationships aren't even any good or worth watching anymore. I was already disgusted by the time they introduced the cardiologist, and then I warmed up to her and she was predictably written back out again. It's just... exhausting. Here's a clue - you don't have to write a new love interest for the male lead every other episode in order to prove he's virile. Burn Notice wrote a grand total of two for Mike, and one of them was him working a cover. I'd give this one a hard pass. There are better shows out there if you are interested in the science. It's not worth to watch for the relationships. Waste of time.

Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr. (Morris Chestnut) runs a Miami private pathology practice working with his sister Pippy and her girlfriend Tara Milly Izikoff. Mitchie Mendelson later joins his team. His mother Donna Rosewood is also a respect doctor and always concerned about his heart defect. Det. Annalise Villa is a new transfer from NYPD with a complicated personal life. Capt. Ira Hornstock is her supervisor until the second season when Capt. Ryan Slade takes over. Rosewood is taken with Villa and works with her in her cases. This is a standard network police procedural. It is second tier stuff and got canceled after two seasons. I actually didn't like Chestnut and his cocky character at first. It took a couple of episodes to get a feel for his character who is burying his damaged sadness. Rosewood and Villa's chemistry is bumpy at times but is always inevitable. They're too good looking to not get together. This sunshine procedural works for the most part and the cast is good enough.

It is a great show in my opinion. It can be predictable at times and also cheesy, but with all the shows that are available to watch it keeps my attention enough to watch it somewhat consistently. I'm a streamer and it's one of my top 10 shows to watch. You have to get fairly into it to get past a lot of what people are complaining about.
