Let's talk about loss, life, love and regrets. This is a summary I do believe, that applies to this show. I loved every single minute of it, even with the 9\11 in the back, but with a lot of life's issues involving the great show's plot. Great cast, great actors, big chemistry among crew. You can laugh, learn about rescuing, thing about life and the things we should care the most...i am a big fan and hope you'll become one as well. But my opinion doesn't count much, less if you don't watch the entire show, so, get it started and finish this gem. After it, please review and give the same 10 points as i just did. Now i will write the same, i always write, about why is important to give your vote, because in this case this will make the difference between a good show and a great show with more and more positive reviews(from people that actually watch the show, not just ears about it)Every time I do the shows review is because I do believe some shows are more than just good or great, they are imperative to watch, because we cannot pass through life without paying attention to some things that are really worth to be noticed, a lot of rubbish is dumped on TV, but a lot of art is also available, you just have to make a choice, and i really want you to chose this

With witty dialogue, relatable characters and a perfect mix of comedy and drama, this is truly a spectacular show. I started watching it this summer on a whim, having heard about it several times and never getting around to viewing it. I was a bit surprised and delighted to find Rescue Me to be a real treasure. Being from the West Coast, I don't know much about New York and firefighter culture, but I still find myself relating to and rooting for several of the characters. Dennis Leary is a better actor than I thought, and I can tell he put his whole heart and soul into the show. That being said, I do have one complaint: you can totally tell its Leary's show because he's always getting the really attractive women and winning every fight he gets into. This doesn't really bother me though. In fact, I think it's kinda funny. Overall, this show is spectacular, and I wish it was more popular. It's the perfect show to get addicted to and watch relentlessly.

What can i say? this is the most un-hollywoodish, non-artificial, non- superficial, real, real, real and amazingly reality story based show without any typical nonsense or a fear of rejection from the audience... Denis leary should easily be put in the list of top 10 actors of all time, what a wonderful job has he done... he has put his heart and soul into this show, whether or not you are a 9/11 victim (I had my cousin who was one of the 334 firefighters), you are surely gonna love this show and not realise for a single moment that its television and not real life... but it sure as hell makes us feel like its all real, the drama, the emotions, the love, the family bonding, the effing irish attitude and culture, the lust, the change of heart!! everything....

the *best* show I've ever seen. My wife and I love it and have watched it numerous times from Season 1 and it never gets old. I dislike phony shows and unrealistic characters so I can definitely relate to the gritty raw essence that Rescue Me touts. Dennis Leary makes the show but the combination of him and the rest of the cast makes for an explosive series. Solid all the way through to the last season. Character study on Tommy Gavin is of interest and I think we can all relate to the many dimensions of his life and personality. My only complaint is that I wish that there was extra footage, deleted scenes and extra's on the Rescue Me DVD's I've seen for sale.
