It all backfires on him when the keepers from the safari park come to recapture Stanley.

EP3 Tiger In The Woods Mar 28, 2001

EP7 Wild Wild West Mar 06, 2001

Santoro and his bandit gang are threatening the town of New Renford, and Mayhem Millie gets a team of Renfordians from the old country to fight him off and save the town. The Renfordians teach the townspeople to play football, and then decide to return home to start up their own football team back in old Renford.

EP8 Stand Up Renford Mar 07, 2001

The Rejects all have after-school jobs to make some money, but put more effort into them than into their playing, and so don't do well. At Graceland's comedy night, Ben shows them that it's enough just to be funny.

EP9 Mascot Mar 08, 2001

Martin Keown takes over as the manager of the Renford City football team, and the Rejects offer him their help. He says he most wants a new mascot for the team, and the Rejects see who can come up with the silliest costume. Despite their best efforts, Keown chooses Eddie.

EP10 Gamesmanship Mar 09, 2001

Vinnie investigates the Razors' tough tactics, and makes Terry Stoker a hero. Terry suggests that he and Vinnie make a ""How To Be A Hardman"" video, which is an instant success. The Rejects study the techniques shown in the video, and beat the Razors at their own game.

EP11 Renford Record Mar 12, 2001

Bruno attempts to create a record for Renford, until he realises that he has no abilities. When the Rejects decide that will set records without him, Bruno teams up with Terry Stoker to set his own record. When none of the record attempts succeed, the Rejects return to playing football, but play so badly that they set a record for Renford's heaviest defeat.

EP12 Cool Ben 2 Mar 13, 2001

Ben doesn't plan on having a big party when his parents leave him at home for the night, but fellow pupil Ben Porter is. Vinnie mistakenly tells everyone to go to Ben Phillips' house, and a riotous night follows as Renford's coolest people invade the Rejects' night-in.

EP13 Real Player Mar 14, 2001

At the airport, Eddie mistakenly picks up West Ham's new Ukrainian star instead of a Ukrainian exchange student. Before the mistake is realised, Sergei helps the Rejects top the league. Synopsis

Renford Rejects was a teen sitcom produced and broadcast by Nickelodeon UK between 1997 and 2001. The show briefly aired in the United States on Nick GaS. The show concerned a five-a-side school football team, made up of aspiring players who had been turned down by their school's main team. They were named "Renford Rejects" when a rival player sabotaged their league entry form, but decided to stick with the name as it suited their "outcast" nature.

kclambeth First of all i can't believe only one person has commented on this. i suppose this isn't all that well known, when i watched it growing up, my friends were probably watching Friends or Saved by the Bell.I think this programme is great. The premise is a bunch of kids who can't make their school football team so set up their own five a side team, with Stewart as coach, gobby Jason in midfield, Dopey poet Ben in goal, Italian wannabe Bruno Di Gradi (Barry is his actual name) Fashion victim Ronnie Supra in defence and Robin Walker (the girl) and the best player in the team, and Vinnie as the commentator of their matches on his own t.v show.Other characters that come later on are bossy Sue, feisty Mia and then Dennis; and Terry, Basil and Eddie are great extra characters too.Stewart is definitely my favourite and the soul of the rejects, when he left it went downhill, it was way funnier when there was somebody telling the others about tactics and not staying up too late. The episodes are fun, not always about love but basically about the hopeless players trying to stop being relegated from the football league. I love it that they're not the best but they think they are and they play just because they love to.You don't even have to like football to like this as the episodes provide great laughs and silly situations, plus if you do like football, there's plenty of guest stars popping up to keep your interest. I came across this programme completely by accident and at the time became hooked, i still watch it now if it's ever on as it always makes me smile, especially Stewart and the episode 'Cool Ben' genius.
colinpeppiatt About a 5 a side football team, who were all rejects from other teams and came together to form their own team. They don't win many matches. But people who don't like football can still enjoy this, as they don't really play that much. The personnel of the Rejects change gradually over the series'. But actors such as Paul Parris, Martin Delaney and Charlie Rolland remain throughout playing Barry ‘Bruno Di Gradi' Grade, the wannabe Italian, chip-loving-Hull-City-shirt-wearing Jason Summerbee, and gangly goalkeeping poet Ben Phillips, respectively. Other constant characters include Elvis-worshipping café owner Eddie McAvoy, and, for sheer comic value, Basil and Terry Stoker. Basil is the sports' teacher at Renford Comprehensive, and is the sort of teacher everyone can remember having for PE. Loves to shout and scream at people and order them around, lacks intelligence, and has very hard, old-fashioned ideas. His son, Terry, is supposed to be groomed like him, and plays the feared tough man and bully role, but often reveals a softer side. These two provide the comedy as dim characters, prone to being outwitted and saying daft things. Roger Davies also remains through the series as Vinnie Rodriguez, the Rejects' own reporter. The series was probably at its finest during the first series, with the excellent Holly Davidson playing the original girl in the team, and the star player of the Rejects, but it remains an enjoyable programme to watch.
