John Mango I do not remember this show when it came out in 1994. It would have been about '95 when I started watching it and at the time I would have only been 5 years old. However, I definitely remember when certain episodes were new. Back then nobody at my home knew what Bob or Phong were talking about in the show. Computers were a new thing in the household and we certainly did not have a good one until about 1996 when the show was really becoming popular. My dad and my uncle were quite fascinated by ReBoot and loved it as much as I did. Even at my very young age I was still able to catch all of the movie and game references because I was brought up watching the things that inspired them. Jurassic Park, Alien, Star Wars, The Road Warrior, you name it I had seen it already by the age of 6. To this day I remember all of the classic episodes and I also recall when the show took a more serious turn with the departure of Bob. Now I am glad to see that Teletoon has finally resurrected the classic series back on TV. I notice even more of the references and catch all of the computer jargon with absolute ease. I could even tell you what midi patches they used to make the musical score. This show was like the Star Trek of my generation and I will always love it.
SBULGACS1 Reeboot was the first computer animated TV show I saw. I was blown away by the 3D images not only this but also by the story lines. They were quite mature dealing with issues of death (Bob) and sexuality such as Enzos and Andreas relationship. Also there were some quite sexy female characters in the programme. I also loved the parody episodes they wrote the Evil dead one was pure class, as was the one with road runner and not forgetting the Prisoner episode. When this show came on to British television I was 20 years old this shows the maturity of some of the episodes. Although I am still not sure how they got away with some of the more scary characters such as Hexidecimal ( I think this was her name it was was the lead bad guys sister) she was terrifying and psychotic. I am still not sure what exactly what happened to Bob though did they ever find him and find there way home??? I think this will become a cult classic and hopefully there will be a reboot movie in the near future.
Kano first let me tell u that my spelling is not correct but what i want to put across is my idea. i hope is understandablewhat a great idea this show<< don't u get it??? this show is life it self, u have to see this show between the lines its contents is so provocative that ABC canceled it after 2 seasonsbut this show will only be understood by people who understand the reality of life, I'm gonna explain, i hope u understandits like this, in reality u were first a soul not who u r now in your body, u originally were a soul, therefore thats the first reality, follow so far? now, your soul decides to go alive at any period of time and any place your soul wants in order to meet the challenges your soul needs to evolve, get it??this show, shows that with symbols and clues for people who knows this, like this>>>all the characters are in the spirit world, and when a game comes in the ones that went inside have to accomplish the level in order to stay alive, and the game can be anything, at any period, and any place; race car driver, cow boy, just like life, get it???? when in the TV show a game comes in is just like when your soul goes in the game of life. like in the movie dark city. same concept, at midnight everyone sleeps meaning they die, and wake up being someone completely different don't u get it??? this films are symbolic but the average person is so hopelessly dependent on theyr reality that they cant accept this. its all real but symbolic. the matrix, dark city, reboot, the game, wake up readers study and ask your self the ultimate question: why are we here. stop shopping so obsessively, stop talking about people, stop watching dumb TV, stop now, all this things keep u from your real purpose. accomplish this level.
emasterslake This was one of the TV shows I grew up watching. Remenbered first seeing it on ABC 12 years ago. Only seen a few episodes at first. Got to see more of Seasons 1 and 2 and the new Season 3 when it aired on Cartoon Network. This cartoon is unlike anything you'd see. It's taken place inside a computer. The characters are virtual and saber like beings. The ones that look like humans are called Sprites. While the others are shape like 1 & 0(computer language) and some large numbers as well.Has the stuff and parts you'd find in any PC. Only it's more like a City. The city is called "Mainframe" and it's infected with 2 Viruses who are wreck havoc in this system. The city's only hope is this Guardian(A sprite that defends Systems from Viruses and other harmful things) named Bob.The other problem besides Viruses are these Game cubes that drop slowly from the sky. You have to be inside before it hits the ground. If you loose or didn't get into the game then it'll cause damage to the system. If you were inside it after a Game Over then you'll get Nullifide and become a Null(a mindless slug thing). So it's important for a Guardian to win these games so that way there's no damage or Nullifying in the system. This Cartoon is a must see. It has a lot of characters to admire and hate. It ran for 3 complete Seasons and 1 unfinished Season. It's a shame this series doesn't have much fame to it, it kept getting canceled and brought back more than twice. But it is a really cool cartoon to watch. Much cooler than Jimmy Neutron. Proves there was something before Jimmy Neutron as well. The incomplete Season 4 episodes are found on DVD. That one had a good start but it shouldn't of ended in a cliffhanger. You're able to either Downloading them or wait for a decent DVD Box sets to come out. It's a real treat to watch.
