musicman37 This is one funny show, that's why. The situation this family is in would be disastrous for anyone else. But not for Reba Nell Hart. With lots of humor (and lots of great writing) Reba the Star as Reba the Mom props everyone around her up so they can shine like the stars. And she's surrounded herself with total professionals who steal the spotlight from the star in every show.I was chagrined by the way the show was handled during its sixth (and final) season. But there is not one episode in the six seasons that isn't fall-down funny. This is one classic show which will be regarded as one of the best family sitcoms ever to air.
nealwcopeland I pretty much liked every character on this show from the start except Reba herself. She comes off as an holier than thou type and quite frankly a big Bully. And that stinks because she is in every scene and every episode. In the later seasons Van becomes unlikeable too, like a spoof of his former self. and Kyra walks around sneering and being miserable. The first 3 to 4 seasons are pretty good if you overlook Reba. Towards the end its pretty bleak.. In basically every episode Barbara jean Is walking around being dumb,Reba is being mean to her,but poor Ole Barbara jean desperately wants Reba to like her which results in Barabara jean telling Reba how awesome she is in every episode. I think it is pretty clear to see Reba has self esteem issues and wants to be seen as this all forgiving saint. Its really a shame too because other than her the show had such potential.
adrianduann This show is really really good, it is super funny !!!!! This show is basically A mom's life suddenly hits rock bottom when she finds out her husband has cheated on her over a 20 year marriage, and her oldest 17 years old daughter is pregnant.I loved the show, especially the pilot episode, it was so dramatic, funny, warm hearted, everything seems so complicated, I seriously almost cried when Reba yelled at Brock " You ruined everything, we were suppose to grow old together !!!!" Reba through in a powerful performance. It was just so right for BJ to be stupid, well in some ways she is but she is smart sometimes.Reba has slowly liking BJ.This show is awesome, its really funny watch it !!!!!!!!
inthelightwt Although I have enjoyed many a Reba episode I was shocked and disappointed by a particular episode where Reba endorsed violence in parenting. It turned me off the show. Hitting is a human rights violation. No person ever deserves to be hit. I was dismayed by the ignorance of the series in this one regard and hope that the Reba speaks out against all corporal punishment in future. Otherwise I am have thoroughly enjoyed the series. I would hope to see Reba representing positive parenting with a mature understanding of the concept rather than leaving that whole area to Barbara Jean. Reba should claim positive mindful parenting rather than corporal punishment.
