Synopsis

Jeff Sorensen I have been waiting for so long for a program like this. The writers of this show are not even close to being like the other hacks in the industry. The character lineup is genius! I haven't enjoyed a show this much since Married with Children & All in the Family. I will be definitely buying the whole box set. I just can't give you folks enough credit or compliments, this show just makes me so happy that I have something to look forward to when I actually watch television.

jwalsh840308 I wasn't sure what to expect in this show, and was honestly pretty much blown away. It's funny and cute and just kind of great. I appreciate the subtle and not-so-subtle humor, the quirky characters, and the general story-line. The cast works perfectly together and I love how they come together as a community throughout the show. I really appreciate a funny show that gives me the feels (I suppose some may think that the show gets too gooey, but I love it).

fatkidwithnoswag I rated this a one out of ten because this show is straight garbage!! The stuff that they try to make funny in this show isn't even funny in fact I laugh at it because how sad and poorly this show was put together. Another reason why this show is horrible is because every day when my sister wakes up she plops herself down on the couch and watches at least three hours of this, and that's just the beginning. On average she watches about seven hours of raising hope each day!!!! On Netflix she has been through all 88 episodes twice in about two weeks. Raising hope is more that definitely taking over her life. When she is watching the show her eyes are ten inches deep into the TV screen. This is absolutely crazy!

bashleyf2000-604-821567 I had absolutely no interest in watching this show. It seemed like a trashy show and I don't find those kinds of shows entertaining. One weekend I was bored and trying to get into a show on Netflix but nothing held my interest. I finally decided to give Raising Hope a try but figured that I would hate it. I made it through the first episode and didn't hate it. I watched a few more and before I knew I started watching more and more episodes after work. I'm now halfway through the second season and I am definitely addicted to this show. Yes, the family is trashy, but what I had not expected is how their love for one another really shows through. It's sweet! And most of the time it's hilarious. One of my favorite episodes was the one with the vasectomy, and also Jimmy's fake girlfriend. Those are the two that stand out in my mind, but they're all funny. I love the chemistry of the cast and the family dynamics in the show.
