If you are looking for a children's storybook beginning, middle and end, Then this 13 episode series is not for you. The story grabs you from the moment the opening credits finish. All of these people waking up in an unfamiliar environment, an almost surreal setting..with no knowledge of how or why they are there. Just when you begin to think that you have one "guest" figured out, the writers magically whisk the rug from under your feet... SPOILER ALERT......Tick tock......Tick tock......Tick tock......Tick tock...OK I have given you ample time to make up your mind whether you want to read my final entry.... Some stories end just as mysteriously as they begin... Realism and not fantasy makes this mini series well worth watching.

I don't know how the critics can say that they didn't answer any questions at the end of the show. It wasn't spelled out, but yeah, they did answer many of the questions--if you pay attention, especially during the last several episodes. I binge-watched the entire series and have to say that I wouldn't necessarily suggest watching it like that (it became a bit tedious mid-season);however it does make it easier to follow the clues that they drop throughout the season. Let's just say that these people running the program excel at manipulation and illusion. Now you see it now you don't.I suspect that the writer's were expecting a second season and perhaps had to quickly pull together a satisfying ending. This could explain some of the less than smooth transitions during the latter part of the season. I have to say that I liked it, I liked the way it ended and without giving anything way, it is perfectly acceptable to leave SOME questions unanswered.

Why is it whenever there is a great show it gets canceled? And many are left unfinished. This story could of went on for many seasons. Great cast and story line. So many shows get a lot of hype months before premiere and then bomb. Yet the network will drag it on for a few more seasons trying to convince us that it will eventually get better. This show isn't like that. A great show that silently gets cut. Who are these people who make these decisions? Too many shows get canceled without closure. Tera Nova was another great one. Jericho could of ran for years! Yet, they hype up Revolution, which was a bomb, that I'm sure they will try to run with it for years.I really liked Persons Unknown. Last episode left me wanting to see more. Too bad the network didn't see it that way. Now days, if you don't have "C.S.I.", "reality show" or dumb slap stick comedy in it, it won't make the cut. It's sad!

I will agree that it is somewhat like Lost. However, when I was watching the show Lost, I noticed that the story was seemingly thrown together as it went along through the seasons. It really disappointed me in that aspect that the writers had no clue what the whole story was as a plot.In this show the writers know the whole story which satisfies me. At the same time they don't go too far-fetched from reality with it. All of the weird things in the show from conspiracies to strange militaristic weapons, are all plausible.I noticed someone didn't like how short it was and took a jab at the teasers. Honestly I agree it was too short because it was a great show. But it is also the first season and maybe if people take a great liking to the show it'll be able to add more episodes. The teasers however are a no-brainer. How can you take a jab at teasers when normally people who watch these shows do it one episode a week. You need a teaser to bug a person enough to take the time to remember to watch or record the next show. I'm not saying teasers are the only way, I'm just saying this isn't Star Trek where you can create extremely unique situations out of thin air.Though people might call this a Lost-type show, I have to ask what is a Lost-type show? This is clearly set in the real world with real boundaries that can be broken through. This isn't some middle of the nowhere place where nobody is going to be able to find you ever. Not only that, but even when someone might escape they are still under threat of being returned, killed or at the least continually observed.I give this a show a 10/10 because people underestimate the show. I also have observed the actors and their characters and found them to be complex and moody just like normal people. They attempt to make the characters distinctive to their past experiences. The actors also did a great job at portraying their characters. The plot is a good plot, not perfect, but like any risky show with a plot like this, it is good. I am glad they aired this show because I enjoyed every minute of it.
