The woman that plays Madison sucks I hate that character

It's really sad to see a good show go this way. It has now turned into a b grade sitcom with bad acting.

Sometimes I wonder if the casting directors even WATCH the auditions for the minor characters. The casting for OITNB used to be spot on. The major characters are cast perfectly and the original guards and civilians are great. But it seems like every time we add a character, be it a guard or another inmate, the acting is subpar. This season is no exception with the addition of more bumbling guards (Copeland and Alvarez to name the worst) in episode 1. I'm hoping they don't last throughout the season because watching them is like watching an Acting 101 class with D-minus students. Please stop trying to add comedy to what used to be an amazingly written series. Especially with actors that can't handle the script. It's taking away from the message you're trying to convey. And please.... please.... start looking at the auditions for these secondary characters. I'm all for hiring Broadway actors (as this is my business), but direct them to be REAL characters and not the "funny" characters they think they are portraying. The over-the-top performances they are giving are taking the watcher out of the reality of the show to look at their friends in the room to see if they are noticing the bad acting choices the director allowed the actor to get away with. The answer is yes: everybody in the room I was in noticed.

I'm a big fan of this show but season 6 was a letdown..
I liked the new spot, new characters, new flashback stories etc but it was too..tough? Where was romance, sensuality, cute moments? I was hoping that the Piper and Alex's wedding would be a tearjerker, really sweet moment. I was waiting for this moment from the beggining of this season. Anyone remember the proposal on season 5? Something like that. But it wasn't. Seemed like the writer thought "let's get this over with"..sad :(
