This show is funny. Period. It has funny characters. Almost every character has his or her moments throughout a delightful format of 13 episodes. I'm not going out on a limb here, when I say that this was never getting a season two and it's better that way.You can't help but sympathize with almost every character. I found myself rooting for all of them. The gullible ones (the hopeless romantics, if you will) and the not so gullible ones. If you're watching the show in order to learn how to pick up women, you're looking in the wrong place, even though there are some interesting aspects mentioned. First and foremost this show is about making one laugh.

If you like satire and understand the dating scene when going out, I think you'll enjoy this show. It isn't a realistic depiction if what happens but shows you the funny side of things when meeting new people or running into ex's.A lot of reviews say it is dumb, bad, and without content. The entertainment that comes from this is subtle, reading in between the lines, and understanding everything behind it.I can agree with them on one thing, it is a simplistic view of night life. I love it as it basically makes fun of it. So if you go out at night and have a good amount of experience mingling with the opposite sex, I think you'll find those show a funny way of passing the time.

If you grew up watching sitcoms, Mixology is perfect for you. The show is about some outrageously hilarious scenarios, leaving you frustrated, hurting, laughing, etc. I think many people take the show too seriously, and forget what makes a sitcom, a sitcom. The random and crazy situations that would almost never happen in real life, but are so possible, the relatability is on-point. My biggest bias is I'm having withdrawals from HIMYM, and how they chose to end that show. Mixology, so far (on the 10th episode right now), has delivered something I've been missing since mid spring. To me, every sitcom needs a specific set of characters to work some magic, and Mixology has the best ten characters. Adan Canto plays his role so well. I like how he can go from The Following, to a light- hearted series. Kind of like Brian Craynston, from Malcolm in the Middle, to Breaking Bad.

I have no idea why some people are bashing on the show so hard. I absolutely loved it and I'm sad it got canceled. I went into it intending to try it out for an episode and ended up watching the whole season in one sitting. I'm also surprised to say that I ended up watching it all again the very next night with a friend. I don't really know how that happened but it wasn't a problem with me. Anyways, I just want the creators, cast, and crew of the show to know that I enjoyed it very much and hope to see more in the future. There were definitely some clever bits in there and it had an overall good-feel, very much like hanging at a bar for the night.
