weibireviews It doesn't line up with the comic exactly but the show is still incredible. I knew from the trailer that I would enjoy the show and I was right in my assumption. Cloak & Dagger is a wonderful show with depth and life lessons. I'm looking forward to many more seasons! Writers keep it up! You're doing great. Go Aubrey and Olivia! Those guys are killing it as Cloak and Dagger.

Daniel Braithwaite This show isn't awful, but it's far from great. My biggest criticism is that there isn't really a plot: Roxxon build 'valves' all over the city and Tandy/Tyrone turn some other valves and stop the first valves from exploding by standing near the new valves and 'absorbing' mystical energy. It's the stupidest plot I've ever wasted 6 hours of my life on.Netflix do really great TV adaptations of Marvel comics, but ABC seriously suck at it. Inhumans was truly awful, Agents of Shield is hit/miss and Cloak & Dagger falls significantly short of good. I do not recommend this show.

elgsdyr I like it when stories take their time to build up properly and that's how I felt after the first two episodes. It took the time needed to introduce the characters, the mystery and the environment, but unfortunately the story went nowhere after that. Just one big balloon of lukewarm air that never managed to take off and ended in a meh finale. I only kept going for nostalgic reasons since I loved the original comics as a kid. There were a lot of good ideas but the execution was below average.

cohenmitch I'm tired of meaningless over the top super hero fights like the ones in Avengers Infinity Wars. Maybe that's why I loved season 1 of Cloak & Dagger. I really looked forward to the new episode each week, and I thought it was a great first season. Yes, teens are the main characters, but I think the show goes beyond just another teen drama as some have suggested. Season 1 follows Cloak (Tyrone) and Dagger (Tandy) as they learn more about themselves and at the same time learn more about their new powers. Throw in voodoo, drug addiction, homelessness, racism, painful loss, hopes, and fears and you have alot going on in season 1. I can't wait until season 2. IMDB says my review is too short! But I don't want to get into more details without giving away spoilers. For those older watchers, you will remember Gloria Reuben who plays Tyrone's mom. She was one of the stars of the popular series ER in her younger years. OK IMDB says it's long enough now! I highly recommend this series.
