First season starts a bit rough, but clearly they keep learning and keep improving. I've been a DC fanboy since watching and rewatching Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice, and was thoroughly convinced Marvel couldn't put forth the same caliber of writing. Finally I've been proven wrong, and I couldn't be happier. The villains aren't exclusively a binary evil, the heroes aren't exclusively a binary good, yet the reversals aren't so overplayed that you lose faith in the traits that define the characters. Add in a love of minor character development and overarching themes, and you've got a series with consistent draw.Still catching up and am in season 4 presently - one gripe - the episodes are out of order on certain critical occasions. We see a post major conflict resolution team before we see how the conflict was resolved and yes, of course the Avengers pull through, but it'd be nice not to have that assumption called out so blatantly.

This show is amazing to me, I know a lot of people won;t agree with me.This may come as a shock to most people, but i'm 13 years old. I'm really a child at heart! The show is silly and serious, I see people write reviews on this by just looking at the first episode, but I think in order to do a review on a show you at least have to watch the first season.I never saw the show before this one, but i'm sure it was just as great! The show makes me laugh, but it can be serious when it wants to.There was an episode where Tony had been transformed into a kid again. Red Skull thought it was the right time to take revenge on him. The episode was sad because Tony was scared that he couldn't make things right this time, he even began to cry.The show is great if you are a child at heart like me.

OK, i've managed to suffer through 10 episodes so far... why would they cancel earth mightiest heroes for this??? so... 1. I agree with everyone, the show is dumbed down... no story arcs... almost every episode is independent of one another, so there is no need to see them all 2. The characters suck. They are all flat. You could interchange their dialogs and actor performances, and still it would not matter. Captain America is bland... Thor is practically a dumb blonde... Hulk speaks way too much... there are many missing characters. The bad guys also suck.3. Animation... is OK. I can live with the animation and character designs. But the scripting is awful. The humor is for a toddler, with Hulk providing most of the comic relief - but poorly. For those who argue about the target audience being young and so forth... well The SImpsons have had a very adult sense of humor, and children still love it... nearly 25 years later...Bring back Mightiest Heroes! Please!

We have an all-star cast of Marvel's greats, fresh out of their hit movies and ready to make a return to the telly. While I do love Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, I will say that it was smart of them to start over. Because let's face it, once you beat the planet-eating god of your canon, you have nowhere to go after that. The characters are all likable and they're more or less the slightly dysfunctional team we've all come to know and love. Thor is the fish out of water, Hulk is the slightly dim but still right-thinking behemoth he was in the last cartoon, Hawkeye is... Well, basically all the characters are as they are in the Avengers movie, right down to the designs, which is okay by me. That is except for a few instances of out-of-character douchebaggery. The animation is the same as Ultimate Spider-Man and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. It's a step up from EMH and Spectacular Spider-Man, and it flows well. The main problem with this show is the plot. The writers, much like a lot of cartoon writers these days, suffer from Everyone's-A-Moron Syndrome. They think that if we don't know what's going on then we'll lose interest, so they pretty much spell out the entire plot of each episode within the first five minutes. Around Episode 7 this condition takes a break and the full synopsis is extended to ten minutes, but otherwise we know how it's going to go down soon after the start. Now, this would not be a problem if it were something like Ultimate Spider-Man. That show has enough comedy and character interactions to drive it without the need for a ton of plot. Avengers Assemble is not a superhero action-comedy. Avengers Assemble is a more or less serious action piece that needs good plot. And, sadly, it doesn't have one. Yet.This show has the potential to be better. But for that to happen, the writers need to learn to throw more twists and turns to the audience, or at least keep the climax a secret until it arrives. I say stick with it to see if any episodes are good, but if you know how it's going to work out before the first commercial break, then tune out and re- watch Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
