Had zero expectations when we started watching this, and overall liked it. Didn't mind the narrator, but we're into that kinda voiceover thing ala Mysteries at the Museum or Ancient Aliens, so didn't find it off putting like so many other reviewers. Liked the structure of the stories as they mislead before getting to the point. Some stories were just more engaging than others, but we absolutely loved Black Stockings and Unboxed. Loved them so much we've played them for friends at our house and didn't mind rewatching those episodes several times. We already knew the background on some stories so those were less interesting to us, but overall a very well put together show with interesting animations/graphics and solid re-enactments. It's not like your watching a movie, it's more like watching an hour of tv on the History channel... but we like that kinda stuff! We hope the second season has more stories we've never heard of.

In the second episode, the "father of the ice-pick lobotomy" is passed off as folklore? That was just straight up medical horror. Yes, it is a true story, and a horrifying one, but not at all unexplainable or supernatural. Straight ahead horror is not really why I tuned in to Lore. I almost made it through the third episode of the T.V. series, but just had to shut it down. The acting and storytelling are not up to a standard that would entice me to sit through the violence. I am a fan of well done horror and the supernatural. Lore on T.V. misses the mark on both counts.

I love everything Lore related. Heck I got a Prime subscription just to watch this show. Aaron is a master storyteller weaving tales with only bits in common into a thread of stories that entrance and educate. He takes the gruesome truths of reality and the mystical aspects of folklore and now adds fun and compelling audio/visual. While I can somewhat understand the reviews that call the TV show jumbled and half-finished, I argue that the entire feel of Lore has an open ended, incomplete aesthetic. There is no nicely tied up endings to the stories of Lore, that's what keeps us coming back. And to be fair, what were you expecting visually from the TV show. If it were solely live action reenactments it would feel slightly campy like Paranormal Witness, A Haunting, etc, and if it were only creepy cartoons, it would not hold the same emotional feel that we Lore listeners are desperately craving by having the stories played out in front of us. I think mixing the mediums is a great way to incorporate both the intense emotion of reenactments and the fun playful personality of Aaron. I applaud everyone involved for a truly unique and spooky experience. I will have to keep my Prime subscription if more Lore TV is made.

First off, the guy narrating the show, is he a robot? Did they have an IVR doing the job as narrator instead of a human, it seriously had me wondering!!
Next the presumptuous and arrogant attitude the show takes towards our current "scientific prowess and how it can explain everything" like "we know better" now, do we really?
Let's continue on with the fact that they specifically pick stories that validate their point and allude to the fact that all stories would do the same...
This looked so fun, like it had the potential to be awesome, and instead it was LAME!!
