Found this show on Netflix. Watched both seasons in 3 days. I was hooked from episode 1. I cried on almost every episode in season 1. This is not your typical family/teen drama (which I usually don't watch). I loved all the characters and the actors/actresses were excellent. You really believed the roles and the story line. In some ways it made me take a step back and look at my family...appreciating everything that we have even more! This show makes you think. It makes you feel. It makes you cry (a lot) but it also filled with humor. Give it a chance, an open mind, and you'll be hooked...even for the 2 episodes it offers.I just wish they hadn't canceled the show which led to a rushed ending. Watching this story unfold would've have been a great love affair! Well, at least now I can focus on cleaning my house instead! =)--Addicting--

Lux Cassidy (Britt Robertson) finds herself in one of those quirky situations, where Fate is clearly laughing at her maliciously. Or so it would seem in the beginning anyway, as Lux seeks for emancipation from foster care at the age of fifteen. Not everything goes as planned as Lux is assigned to the care of her newly discovered biological parents, whom are even loss grown up than her, the father, Nate Bazile (Kristoffer Polaha) spending his time partying in a bar he owns and her mother, Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby, of "Roswell" fame) being a successful radio personality, who is engaged to Ryan (Kerr Smith, of "Dawson's Creek" fame), yet suffers from critical commitment issues.Although Life Unexpected is about the unexpected happening, the show is at its core about Lux and Cate becoming a daughter and a mother, respectively, even though neither has much sense of what it entails. Lux is just as unadjusted to being told what to do (that is, being raised) as Cate is unaware of what it requires to tell someone what to do. As a series as a whole, Life Unexpected is a mature drama, which takes its time with its story lines, as present actions and past experiences leave long-lasting effects on its characters, which is quite a feat considering only twenty six episodes were filmed before the show's cancellation.

first time i watch this show remembered me about party of five which talked about family too.i really excited this show will be last for years like the other family shows. i really love this show because it's talk about how you appreciated your parents and how you to take care and handle your child. This show give you a thought about no matter imperfect your parents but they still the best for you because the love you with their imperfect and different ways. i hope this show will back soon. i want more story about Cate and Nate"baze". i also want Lux meet again with Eric after her graduated from high school.i really waiting for this show come back soon.

I love this show. Kris will be Baze for me unless I get the satisfaction of the unfolding of this refreshing, unique series with appropriate closure. This calls for more seasons. I understand Kris has been signed by CBS. I cannot bear to watch him as any one except Baze for now. You are cheating the fans in the USA and around the world if you cancel Lux. Since I am very selective in what I view, I am an unforgiving fan. I am loyal to this story. It's worth being told and it deserves to be told.Lux has made an international mark, I think has been very underestimated by the network. There are viewers in countries that wait to watch Lux until the sub-titles are added to the episodes by volunteers (about a week). How do you account for all those viewers. I have been trying to help them find places to leave opinions and encouraging them about writing in English. I will share this link because they can just vote. Thanks for listening. Go LUX, international ambassador.
