nielkenono WOW What a waste of money and time! Not the series, but the Scientology! The whole idea of it is prepostorous! A scam! And a cult! I have seen season 2 and now I'm watching season 1. Never really knew what it was. Only that Tom Cruise was in it and his latest ex wife..forgot her name. She got out with her daughter thank god! Thousands of dollars to purchase just 1!!! book at the bottom of the ladder!?! Seriously! And not allowed to have kids?!? Seriously ridiculous! Leah made the right decision to leave...and expose this cult and what it does!
twoftmama1 Leah Remini and Mike Rinder do an excellent job sharing the stories of the victims and exposing the abuses that go on inside this cult. What these people went through is horrible and they are so brave to come out and tell their stories. What this cult gets away with is mind blowing. Leah and Mike sincerely want to get justice for the victims and stop the abuses. The show is shocking, touching, and eye opening. Must see TV!
industrialwonk Leah Remini does a very good job, and a real public service, in describing "Scientology Gone Bad." What is most unfortunate here is that, based on his writings, L. Ron Hubbard very well understood the issues and concerns that humanity would need to face in the future. To me, Hubbard formulated a set of ideals that Scientology as an institution seems to have abandoned. In his book "Mission Earth," Hubbard talked about the evils of "public relations," and other forms of institutionalized conduct used to support racketeering that may result (if unchecked) in the self destruction of the earth and of mankind. He then went on to offer a set of solution points. How laudable is that? VeryHubbard was incredibly predictive and incredibly astute in understanding why and how our current social system works. He even predicted that pandering to sexual deviance would be used as a mechanism of control and distraction. Hubbard was an absolute genius. Based on example, Remini describes Scientology gone bad; perhaps Remini will be able to bring reform towards Hubbards laudable set of ideals.
surfcityjen This show proves Ms Leah Remini is my hero! She is brave enough to speak out against this Cult even though they harass her and try to silence her talking with former members of the organization about the abuses that go on inside. I am a former Scientologist and I can say that all the accounts from the people interviews are horrifying but all true 100%. I was in the Sea Org and was a Scientology and I know it to be true. I saw it! Ms Remini is a bad a$$ woman who is a strong fighter like myself who is brave and its time to bring this organization DOWN! Thank you Mike Rinder for your dedication to speaking out with Leah about your experiences and doing something about it to change! You guys are both my heroes! I look forward to a second season and I hope you get those Lawyers to do something about it!-Jen
