Kidd Video was definitely one of Saturday morning's best offerings and was not around long enough. The Saturday morning cartoons of the 1980's were leaps and bounds better than the drivel children watch today. This show offered FANTASTIC music (a video at the end of each episode by the band), witty humor and adventure. The cast was different in that they were a double threat...they acted and sang (and played their instruments with the exception of the drummer). Bryan Scott actually penned the song "Time" which would have gotten major airplay if given the chance. It is a shame this show has not been released on DVD or played in syndication. I do not understand why the band never toured here in the states or had their album released as in Israel. Kidd Video had long term promise but was clearly put in the wrong hands who did not see what they had. The kids today miss out on quality cartoons like this one and that is a shame. Kidd Video (along with a handful of others) was in a class by itself. This show would be off the charts if it premiered today.

AHHH the 80s, what can I say? Kidd Video was just a blast to watch and to listen to. The music videos at the end of every episode, were a bonus. How can a kid growing up in the 80s ask for more?? This was the quintessential cartoon for the MTV generation, along with JEM ofcourse! For those interested, the music that appeared on the show are available to download online on their website Kidd Video Flipside. It would be great to see the stars of this show on VH1 "where are they now?" or at least to see the show again on TV; love those songs and Kidd (Bryan Scott) was damn cute too as I remember!!! Wonder if Kidd, Carla, Whiz and Ash are still traveling in the Flipside....a good dose of 80s nostalgia "from my radio to my video"....

This was saturday morning's answer to MTV. Get a rock n roll band make them into cartoons, stop the villan that sent them there, and you have what has to be a cartoon show that helps symbolizes what the 80's were all about! music videos cartoon style! I wish they air reruns of this show, it was way cool when I remembered it, and now that the 80's are coming back, they should, if not, must bring it back on T.V. Maybe so another new generation of kids will enjoy this the same way we did almost 2 decades ago!

I totally agree with the one positive review of this cartoon (how can anyone say that this is the "worst" Saturday morning cartoon? By the nature of being a Saturday morning cartoon, they are usually just as cheesy as this was -- especially after watching "Strawberry Shortcake" or "Reboot"). This show was cheesy, but spawned several catchy tunes that I can still remember fondly. And a cartoon that features Cousin Oliver (Robbie Rist) from the Brady Bunch can't be all bad ...
