videorama-759-859391 This is the 2017 one, with mostly under the radar known celebrities, ones bordering on obscurity, or much bigger known ones like Mr Arnold, the first to get voted off (and he was my favourite) thanks public, who are dumped in the middle of the African jungle, to tough it out, in conditions, they're not quite used to, for that moolah. Okay, it's a terrible show, Big Brother In Africa for adults, lets call it, where there are such amazingly idiotic moments, including some of the exercises that are set. As hosts, Julia, has grown on me, the HH actress revelling in a role of her own, really adding spark to it, like hardly any of the contestants, where the most recent addition, was the gay guy, whose first and last name start with a C. And the only unsmiling, almost robotic walking Steve, from The Project is a great contrast to the others, whether actors, models, one stud, his body, a tattoo shrine, whatever. Our doc as the other host, needs a lot of worming. Yes, I've become addicted to this, "Yes". Stupid me. I wouldn't partake in this show, for all the money in the world. I hate snakes, venomous, and otherwise, and that goes for the rest of the little nasties in this. Yeah, congrats to the winner, but he or she should take out the biggest wa.ker award, for allowing themselves to go through all that suffering. Now, am I gonna watch the next episode? A big fat "YES". I've fallen victim to this drug of a show. Call it, African fever. God knows what's in store for me, next viewing. Hopefully someone will really rub up Steve the wrong way. Now, that's something, I'd pay to see.
tsha2006 Very staged and synthetic presentation that really brings reality TV to a brand new low. I have seen just enough to see an appalling disrespect for another culture and the show constantly mistreats wild life with careless abandonment for the sake of very misguided entertainment. Any celebrity that appears on this show is sending out a pretty clear message to everyone that there careers are flagging and some how hoping this show will pummel there status forward, it is a sad reflection on society that a device like this can in fact do just that, all be it token and short lived. Julia Morris is a saving grace as her over flamboyant presentation is almost artform in execution, something that viewers will be no doubt polarised by for sure. She a remarkable talent and well above this dog of a show. It is really hard to believe that with the existing talent in Australia that such a commercial infrastructure is in place where programming like this, based on over seas content can get off the ground. Ultimately it means most of the revenue created by this program will go off shore to perpetuate more rubbish that we will again go on to reconstitute and do more damage to local production and original ideas. It should be shut down and forgotten. Horrible.
xinix111 I am not going to tell everybody how horrible I think this show is, because that is for your own consideration. I just wanna point out to everybody who expects celebrities that there are none in this TV-series. I am a movies/series/TV fan, and I was disappointed by the lack of celebrities in this show. What were they thinking when they came up with the name for this TV-series! I have nothing positive to share about this show because who cares if these people can get out of there anyway? I know I don't!! There are a few participants that might be a known within some "target audience" , but I am surprised that their TV-network accepts this title! And actually I am also surprised that IMDb accepts it.
The Grand Master The overseas version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here has been a success in the U.S., U.K., Germany and South Africa to name a few, so it was inevitable that there would be an Australian version of this show. And in 2015, this became a reality. This is yet another show that originated overseas that has hit Australian TV screens (i.e. Australian Idol, Big Brother, The X Factor and Dancing with the Stars to name a few shows). After Channel 10 bombarded viewers with countless ads for I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, I was already getting sick to death of the hype. Sure enough upon watching the show, I thought this is the most overrated and over-hyped show that I don't care for in the slightest. All you need to know is that C-list celebrities or celebrities way past their prime try to regain the spotlight by putting their reputations on the line by lowering their standards and even demeaning themselves to be stuck in the middle of nowhere and participate in games and at the same time make complete and utter fools of themselves. The show sounds like another version of another overrated show Survivor. Does this sound like appealing viewing? For me, no it does not. It seems like the type of show that will rot your intelligence. If this type of show appeals to you go for it. Already the show has gained a fan base. The show is terrible, but the constant ads for this show is enough to drive you up the wall. We don't need constant reminders on what is going to be on tonight's show with the assortment of drama queens and celebrities sacrificing what's left of the pride to make idiots of themselves on national television. It's not like their careers are going to be resurrected with this show. The sooner this show is off the air, the better.1/10.
