disdainisme I do not know where to even begin. This show is so bad it makes me sad. The first few seasons were fantastic but to enjoy the show now you need to really dumb yourself down. It is not worth your time there are dozens of shows now that are far better that actually make some sense. They do not have a lead that would not be allowed within miles of anyone of importance like Carrie is. It takes multiple seasons for someone to actually say "we are going to take your child" but in the real world it would have happened in a week. The plots/twists they have planned for us viewers are so easy to see through its creepy to watch. I love how they walk you down a road for ex: X is going to talk only we as the viewer know X is about to be compromised or killed at the end of the episode, we know it and of course it happens. You can do this once, twice but every episode? Claire Danes can act but every episode shes on the verge of cracking its unbearable. We get it, shes nuts but why keep making us witness this?
jesaspen-01431 Oh my... it has gotten SO bad! The first couple seasons were great. The writing has really gone downhill. What a shame.
graafmaertn "Homeland" is the best representation of bipolar disorder up to date. It can be deeply depressing, highly exhilirating, and completely detached from reality while retaining to illusion to depict a deeper reality. If it wasn't as deluded as it is in depicting the world, I might be able to recommend it to someone that is interested into something other than thrills and fantasy. But as it is, I can't, and you should only watch it if you want a "24" that doesn't completely derail.
pep000 Been watching this since S1 and it's had its ups and downs, especially S6 and 7, but S8 is a welcome improvement. Lord knows that America right now is such a royal mess that there is ample dysfunction to draw on in creating storylines.
