Synopsis

Tarek and Christina El Moussa buy distressed properties -- foreclosures, short sales and bank-owned homes -- remodel them and sell them at a profit. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work. Track the El Moussas' roller-coaster journey in each episode, beginning with a cash purchase at auction of a home -- often sight unseen -- and the fix-it-up process, to the nail-biting wait to find a buyer.

Reviews

patblckw The show reveals how an ugly house can be turned into a new inviting and warm place to live. What is not real is the chemistry between Tarik and Christina and who she is dating. She walks around and tells him what to add, it is always gray and white, or some gray color or neutral. Please change the colors schemes and get new people on your show. They are plastic together and she looks like she is ready for Vogue magazine. Who looks like that for flipping homes and you don't make that much money on every flip, really? Is it just me or am I crazy. Joanna and Chip have interaction and it is real, not like this show. You could make them real if they were still married and his wife didn't look like she just stepped out of the salon??!!
GG I am not sure how this bimbo is still on TV. Her designs are awful. Her personality is minus zero. Her voice- yeah we all know, annoying. But what I really dislike most about her is how she tries so hard. She must spend HOURS on her extensions (both eyes and hair) and makeup and it shows. Seriously, you are flipping properties. I hate the little contrived shoulder thing she does when in her head she thinks she is so cute, its not. Stop pulling from the camera for attention and every other male you come across. Why don't you just be a mom and spend more time on them instead of trying to become famous. I'm over your show and I would watch a show that had Tarek only, but not with Christina.
bcjjjs After reading the IMDb comments on Flip or Flop, I agree with you about the fake parts of the show. (SPOILER ALERT) HGTV expects us to believe that they borrowed money from her father to flip a house. REALLY? I am positive that Tarek & Christina have a great income especially based on their car, their clothing, their home, etc. In addition, HGTV is paying them quite a few dollars per episode.(SPOILER ALERT) One show featured their car being stolen. It was recovered the next day by the police. REALLY?My biggest criticism is Christina's nasally voice. They need to spend a few dollars on her taking voice diction lessons to stop her from talking through her nose. We mute the show whenever we watch. We watch because we are flipping our house and Christina has great ideas. She is so pretty but her voice puts off viewers.
sassoula We watch a typical spoiled prissy diva talking like a gay dude "oh my goooosh, ewww that's disgustiiiing" who overeacts when she sees dust or a cockroach and a mouse and her greedy money obsessed husband who talks money and properties even to his little daughter. The fat "L" and "R" of her accent make me nauseous. I don't mind Christina being all done up,I myself have fake boobs and im a model/athlete but im a handy woman, when I have a project I go all out sweaty and do the heavy lifting, so it would be more fun if the girl didn't worry about breaking a nail. Whats disturbing is their attitude and how spoiled they both are. I've met realtors like them, who value cosmetics on a piece of junk house just so that they can make more profit. They take run down houses with rickety foundation and major issues but all they care about is to make the design look "pretty" and appealing to the victim buyers who will be stuck with a polished covered up junk and a loan. What they sell is the "American dream" hence why the show always shows off their success. The dream is pretty much their luxury unwrinkled lifestyle (LV purses, always perfect nails and hair and different expensive cars in each episode) and the American nightmare of the persons who buy their overpriced properties. They spend a lot to make a bad house decent and then they have to sell it higher to make up for the loss. American houses are fake to begin with. My dad is a mathematician but he builds houses in Europe as a hobby, we rent some of our property, they're houses made of concrete, stone, real marble and bricks so I showed this show to him and he cringed at the poor constructions made of thin cheap wood, houses with no real foundation priced so high - in one episode they lift up the whole house lol. Same old box houses, sloppy work, add some bling, quick cash, some numbers on the screen and "time to find another house to flip" SMH.
