This is one of those rare series that you don't ever want to come to an end. A beautiful love story centering around identity solidification of youth.College students find friendship in forming an in-group to help buffer the stresses of college and of transformation into adulthood. Their problems in relating, as they discover their selves through others, are well portrayed.Felicity is the central figure. Very smart but sometimes (like any young adult) stupid, Felicity loves two young men. Is this a recipe for trouble? You bet, and this is very well exploited in this series. The excellent casting, acting, and production helps make this series a real winner. Two fantasy segments are presented with great creativity. One is based on a episode like those you might see on "The Twilight Zone", and depicts the struggles the students cope with. Another segment toward the end allows Felicity to go back in time and take a different direction at a major crossroads earlier in her life, and this entails unforeseen changes in the lives of those around her.All in love this is a superb series, but you need to watch the first half of the episodes to really come to appreciate Felicity.

When Felicity first aired in 1998, I was only 13 years old and lived in a little town in nowhere, Alaska that didn't have TV. So I missed out on the episodes when they were first aired. It wasn't until my own Senior year of high school that I didn't have many classes to take and a lot of time on my hands before going off to college that I surfed through the channels once after we finally got satellite, to land on this show as reruns on the WE network. One single episode was all it took for me to fall absolutely head-over-feet in love with this show. So many of my classmates would talk about other shows like Dawson's Creek and My So Called Life. They examined high school however, and since high school wasn't something I could relate to nor did I want to - I decided to catch a glimpse of the college experience through the eyes of artists.I don't use the term "artists" lightly. This show not only captured pretty realistic viewpoints of what college life is actually like, but it dealt with serious issues in a way that was not over-dramatic and really heartfelt. So many people like to point out that teens are always the ones with the complex lives and all the nostalgia to look back on. This show proves that its actually the people just starting the rest of their lives after high school that can really reach a place within themselves and discover who they are through "the smallest decisions".And Felicity, not only as a character, but as a show, really takes the audience on that same journey of self-enlightenment.

This is the most frustrating show of all time. Everything goes backwards, all the characters are so dysfunctional, doomed to repeating the same mistakes, no one actually learns anything and it's like they're blind. I'm sorry to say this but the writers of this show are either the most sadistic creatures ever or they have major dysfunctional issues which they haven't work through. Of course I'm talking about Felicity's choices. I get that her parents set impossible standards for her and she has to punish herself, but, come on, you date the one that makes you miserable, but eventually you realize he's not good for you. And the most frustrating thing is that it's supposed to be this amazing evolution for all the characters, but they're just stuck in a loop judging each other. Someone should have told the creators of this show that it's torture to watch Ben and their relationship does not look like the greatest love they're all talking about. If this was it, then it'd be sad.

I used to see Felicity on TV in Spain. I like it very much and especially Scott Speedman. Till now there is no possibility of having the 4 seasons for Zone 2, which includes Spain and see it in Original Version with subtitles in Spanish as I do with my 10 seasons of Friends which is already available in DVD for Zone 2. I would like very much that someone takes into account my comments and help me in order that not only me but other hundreds people who are asking for having this series in DVD for Spanish people and be able to see Felicity at home as we can do with so many other series. Please check our comments also in website http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?felicity&1 Many thanks, Eva
