Synopsis

Doggy Fizzle Televizzle is a sketch comedy show that was produced by, and starred, the rap musician Snoop Dogg. It was aired on MTV in 2002 until 2003. Snoop Dogg stated that according to the contract, the show was to air six times, but it turned out to be a series of eight parts. The second season was canceled due to payment negotiation issues, since Snoop Dogg asked for $1 million for his role, which MTV refused to pay him. In the beginning of every show Snoop is seen sitting bored in a leather armchair in an empty room while switching channels from Jerry Springer to a cart race then to black and white burlesque figure skating after that to a strip show and finally to a Richard Marx music video when he decides to change the situation and the idea of Doggy Fizzle Televizzle comes to his mind. This ends the intro and the main theme follows with Snoop rapping.

Reviews

kopmis If your a fan of the Chappele's show, you will probably love this show. The quality of the sketches vary a lot... Some of the sketches are pretty lowbrow and predictable, but the good ones are absolutely hilarious. Mostly sight gags, word jokes and parodies. I watched this because I'm a fan of both PFFR (who also made Xavier: Renegade Angel) and the persona of Snoop Dogg and overall i thought it was a pretty good show. If you ever come by it on TV, it's definitely worth the watch."It's time we put a n***a in the all-black neighborhood called space." "Oh my G O double D I look like Snoop D O double G!" And -izzles in pretty much every sentence..
thefistoffury "wus cracking lacking yall, man B****** be trippin"Snoop dog is so F****** funny in this, anyone and i mean anyone even you arent a massive hip hop fan (i on the other hand am a very big hip hop fan) this is worth watching, i hope it gets a dvd release as i will definitly be wanting it.
sketchyninja Very Funny! Even if you are not a hardcore rap fan (which i'm not), it's still a very good skit show with Snoop being creative and coming up with different ways of making you laugh. I did have the honor of going to his concert once and he just knows how to entertain and work the crowd which he does on his show now. He just looks like a pimp. Too funny. One of the few good reasons to watch MTV now. (ditch the road rules already)
risaroo2001 Really funny show. The first time I saw it, I was at my friend's house, and she could hear me laughing all the way upstairs. Snoop does a great job. My favorite scene was from the pilot where he was working at Arby's. If you haven't seen it, give it a shot. It's about time they had a hot new variety show on TV!
