Kirpianuscus it could be strange to expect more from an Indian series who propose a classic recipe, with few significant characters, a love story, few dramas, drops of tension, large family and a young woman as police officer. and, sure new characters for maintain the rhythm of a never ending story. so, many good intentions. and a very precise target.
nicholasdeo The show has lost all meaning after Sandhya became a police officer, it has fallen from an average show to a show that drags the hell out of itself. The characters are useless, the themes are useless, the actors can't act, it is a waste of airing time and the amount of time that someone monologues is plain retardation. The story in itself is predictable and can literally end in the most clichéd way possible. Don't get me started on the crappy repetitive soundtrack. At least show a diverse atmosphere instead of a dead one. All this show is good for is keeping a dead horse living through lame story lines. What's even worse is the amount of times they transition to other characters, having characters frozen in one shot is bloody ridiculous. It is like as if they had lost their budget to afford other expressions.
gp281979 Sandhya, who should have been leading the serial is the one whose acting is worse than any other character in the serial. Especially since the training has begun her acting has become poor. Suraj, Bhabo, babusa, emily, etc characters are all acting far better than Sandhya. Being a police commissioner, she should be showing strong will and at least some amount of dignity which is totally lacking.....She should be justifying her role as a police commissioner as well as a saada seeda bahu and if she put some effort in her acting, it may not be that hard to achieve.... Just tired of seeing her boring expressions or lack of expressions I might say episode after episode......She is just behaving like a bahu and not at all convincing her role as a police commissioner PERIOD. Being commissioner of police, nobody is afraid of her, not even the constables. Kavitha is acting smart and creating troubles in Sandhy's life and Sandhya is not behaving more than any ordinary bahu, even after going through such hard training to become an IPS officer....It is not at all realistic....
myellepeddi Sandhya's training at the academy was very poorly construed and a big disappointment. The terrorist part was unnecessary and laughable. The handful of terrorists hardly looked dangerous and their firearms looked like Diwali bombs!! While they were all gunned down (should not have been shown in a family drama) by trainee officers, not a single officer suffered even a scratch! Sandhya's success in the Academy is a foregone conclusion and the need for a trophy was not there at all. I'm sure no one would have selected Pushkar as their choice and Sandhya would have been assigned there naturally as her first choice. It is not a capital or even a city to compete about!! The entire run for the trophy was baseless and childish - not worthy of future commissioners of police. The charm of Diya aur Baati is in its simplicity and honesty and the last few weeks have been a total disaster. The lengthy speeches in praise of Sandhya's brilliant performance were boring and uncalled for. She did not impress throughout the program and did so in a hurry only towards the end to convince the viewers that she deserved the prize! The only saving grace was the impressive acting by the actor essaying the role of Zakir. Rahul & Roma were also fairly convincing. Hope the serial picks up on Sandhya's return home - the script writers appear more comfortable at Pushkar!
