This show is more entertainment than instructional but the guys have great chemistry and each brings something unique to the party. Fans of David Canterbury will note that this is a somewhat different Dave from the show Dual Survival. For both season of Dual Survival, Dave was cast as the "military trained" woodsman and Cody Lundin was the Primitive Skills expert but it seems a lot of Cody rubbed off on Dave. Here Dave sports a ponytail and there is NO mention of his military days and is in fact the "Primitive Skills" expert of the trio. It's Dick Strawbridge that is touted as the military trained engineer who is a retired Colonel from the British Army. John Littlefield rounds out the group as the "builder". A homebuilder by trade with some Hollywood acting under his tool belt as well.
Whether acted, scripted, edited or genuine, the three guys get along great and make for some entertaining guy TV with a good combination of humor and competition.

No pretending to get lost with minimal equipment, followed by wandering around until they just happen to be "rescued." No arguing about the best course of action. Just three guys with different skills taking on various wilderness challenges with a spirit of healthy competition.Dave Canterbury, formerly of Dual Survival, is the survival and bush-craft expert.John "Johnny" Littlefield, a veteran of several home improvement shows, is the construction expert.Dick Strawbridge is an engineer and inventor with 20 years of military experience, as well as being a well know television presenter in the UK.They come across as three buddies who like to go out into the wilds and have fun. Episodes begin with "gearing up," often with items that you don't normally see on survival shows. They generally have to improvise and re-purpose their gear, or build something from materials they find in their travels. The best part is that they demonstrate, usually in great detail HOW they build things, often including graphic diagrams. And they will make you laugh while they do it.
