As a student of cyber-security, this show was of great interest to me and many of my fellow learners (our instructors would even reference the show at times during lectures). I was skeptical at first (like many I'm sure) but I gave it a fair shot. What surprised me first was the overall accuracy in the use of IT/Cyber concepts and definitions (though one or two were flat out incorrect). Everything I saw lined up and made sense technologically, they used the tech accurately to solve the crimes presented, and managed to keep me interested throughout both seasons (granted some of the cases were a BIT far-fetched, but it's TV, what can you do?). The acting was good, though I feel the character Avery Ryan could used a different actress. Ultimately, this was a show that kept me entertained and engaged throughout it's running. It deserved a better fate.

While this show had been good to me for many years, and would make a good show to marathon on Netflix, this show is simply trash police propaganda, as with all other shows such as this. I will never watch this show, or any show like this, again. While at one time it was good to me and good for me, it's plainly propaganda for the police and other hands of government that I want no part of. That negates anything else this show has to offer. This belongs in the trash and in the past, as do the rest of the shows like this. The amount of flat out wrong and fear mongering things in this show when it comes to the internet and modern technology is staggering.

Who wrote this episode? Did Patricia Arquette have anything to do with the subject and writing of this episode? I know she has a hard on for women's issues from the dumb speech she gave at the awards show. I don't think she knows what she talks about. She seems to be repeating the same old lies again. In this episode she states 1 in 5 women on college campuses are sexually assaulted as if it was settled fact. Did the writers plagiarize Sabrina Erdely's Rolling Stone fiction about a vicious rape at the University of Virginia? Anyway, this is probably the last episode I watch. Patricia is a poor choice for the lead and they could do much better. Change the casting. Get better writers. Please stop pushing the PC political falsehoods.

I have watched CSI:cyber until the second episode of second season. The technological part is not very good. The basic parts are close to truth. It has a lot of gaps. It could be better.I think this is why it has so many bad ratings from 1-3.Anyway, it is pleasant to watch. I like how they use some internet threats at some cases in the scenario. I don't like CSI in general I watch this because of computer stuff. Some episodes are better than others. They have some info that users of mobile phones or pc or whatever is connected could not imagine is true. The acting is just OK.
