SnoopyStyle Crime Scene Investigators use scientific methods to investigate crimes. This follows the night CSI crew of the Las Vegas Police Department. Gil Grissom (William Petersen) is the leader of the team which includes Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan), Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), and Nick Stokes (George Eads). Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) is the investigating police lead. Dr. Al Robbins (Robert David Hall) is the coroner and David Phillips (David Berman) is his assistant. Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) and David Hodges (Wallace Langham) are a couple of the many techs over the years. Other actors have starred on the show including Ted Danson, Elisabeth Harnois, Laurence Fishburne and Elisabeth Shue. This show turned the TV staple cop show into a new genre of its own. For good or for bad, it brought the science of investigation into the living room. It's infinitely fascinating and even has influenced the real legal world. That and its long running life means that it is one of the most influential fictional show around. On top of that, there is some good chemistry especially with the original cast. The characters are being replaced over time and that has taken a toll on the chemistry. It's a 7 as a show but its influence elevates it to a 8.
Shopaholic35 Love this show! CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was one of the first and best forensic shows that piqued everybody's interest in the crime genre. Although I never watched it much when it first started airing, now that I am older I can definitely appreciate it's genius and entertainment value. Since I recently starting watching the show from the beginning the one thing I have discovered is that this show has the potential to not age for a very long time. It still feels completely relevant and on the cutting edge of technology.Possibly the one negative I can think of is the fact that I am not looking forward to the episode when Gil Grissom is no longer on the show. I know it's going to happen; not what happens, but it will be a sad day. For me he makes the show what it is and it can't possibly be the same without him. Only time will tell as I slowly make my way through the seasons.
damaris-639-686265 c.s.i is a great show that all people including me, will love just by watching one episode. i like all the characters in c.s.i because they are just such great actors and actresses who have worked hard to obtain such great roles in a great show. i haven't seen all of the episodes but i have seen enough to want to watch it all the time. it has a great story which is so magnificent that i am shocked with how great it is. they should give this show better ratings because from everyone in the family they would say,"you deserve better!!!". it would take all the paper in the world to say of how great the show c.s.i is and how it changed crime shows into great popular art. before i close i would like to say just to the people who acted out in c.s.i, PLEASE COME TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE I WANT ALL OF YOUR AUTOGRAPHS!!!!!!
henry-429-883632 Great acting, great research, great writing, great photography. The series bear watching over and over again. I can't think of a better crime drama. It is however a tiny bit formulaic from time to time. SO on a light- hearted note I thought I'd distill the formula as much as possible.spoiler:a) Either boys playing around, or lovers having hot sex (with essential undies inexplicably still on) chance upon, become, or walk by a disembodied head/skeleton b) Grissom is suddenly there, quoting Confucius at the puzzled CSIs. David is taking the liver temperature (unless it's a disembodied head or skeleton)c) Sara picks up a cigarette, then gives an explanation for any thick viewers out there "This was not a hit and run!"d) Grissom says "evidently he didn't run enough", or some other wise- crack, and ... e) TITLES: "Who are you do do do do". Never get tired of 'em f) on the other side of town, Catherine's progress towards a crime scene is impeded by a dumb male jobsworth. Because she's smart and has the facts at her fingertips she sets him straight, squashes his ego in fact. Squish g) she strolls haughtily in on a crime scene and points a torch at a racing track, nods sagely and says "Testosterone!" as if that explained everythingh) meanwhile back at the lab, Grissom and Doc Robbins are having a chat over a dead body, usually one showing signs of "petechial haemorraging". Their conversation is useless to them, but might be useful for anyone who happened to be watching who hadn't yet drawn the 'correct' moral conclusions about the scenario, i) Nick and Warrick make an unspecified and probably inappropriate bet about the new hot chick in DNA lab, j) cut to the Cool Science Scene. A CSI does a week-long experiment in 2 minutes, accompanied by booming Radiohead/Sigur Ros/etck) Greg eloquently (for a nerd) explains how many jobs HE did in that 2 minutes, l) Grissom and Sara flirt in much the same tone of voice as nerds call out blindfold chess moves to each other. Same facial expression too.m) they close in on the killer who is Not Who You Thought It Was. Brass' wisecracks at this stage provide 50% of the show's pleasure n) Catherine's killer turns out to be either a 12 yr old girl who smiles back uncaringly, or a mother who has just killed her daughter. Catherine, whose daughter is the same age, looks disillusioned and world-weary. o) Nick solves the main case for the 100th time. Grissom explains to him that he's not quite good enough yetp) more "The Who". Warm feeling inside, tempted to watch another...
