I missed out on this show when it was airing, I hadn't even heard of it. Netflix suggested it to me and I have binged it over the past 2 days and I must say that I am sad that it was canceled. It's a good show, so much better than the other reality show garbage they keep filling the airwaves with...rotting our brains. I love these virus outbreak shows and movies, and I think this one really focuses on the humanity aspect - both the positive and negative - of the terror. Some reviewers have said that the writing and acting is poor, but I greatly disagree. If you're curious, just give an episode a try...see what you think.

I just watched the entire season in 2 evenings. Is it a new idea? No. The oldest one on the same subject I can think of is "Outbreak" from 1995, and I'm sure there are plenty that go back further than that. Is it a well produced story? Yes, I think so. The character growth of Jake in particular is wonderfully done. Katie is the school teacher there with her kids on a field trip, and she gives Jake - a police officer - just the right amount of a wake-up slap when she says in her teacher voice "there are a bunch of 11 year olds who are handling this better than you!". There is even a death scene (in a show about a lot of death) that actually made me cry - I can't remember the last time I cried at a TV show. I haven't seen the shows that other reviewers are unfavourably comparing this to, but as a show to watch, I would recommend it.

This is I am betting what happens when you take a good story and let network hacks get their hands on it. The concept of a lethal virus causing a quarantine would be really interesting. Of course loe and behold there's a government conspiracy, who'd expected that? Not even a trace of suspense so it's not a spoiler. They might as well have tattooed it on their foreheads. They should have named it Soap Opera with walls. The dram is hokey and seems forced. The casting is mostly sub par. The characters shallow at best and so predictable that you could write their entire story from the first 3 minutes of seeing them on screen. It is like the writers didn't even bother to rewrite other series and movies but plucked story lines word for word only changing the names. I love disaster movies and series along this vein. I even find entertainment in the many B flick incarnations, some of them are quite good actually despite a very low budget. This one falls flat in every possible respect and I finally gave up 4 or 5 episodes in, maybe it was 6. Not sure I couldn't really watch it after 3. I just kept episodes running hoping that it'd find it's way and it never did. No action to speak of and what does happen is so hokey that you might see it on a kid's show. No suspense because the writing is so clumsy and cliché that it's utterly predictable. Drama isn't my thing but it's so overdone and sickly sweet that even the drama fans hate it. The way people act defies explanation, and even when they finally get in character it's pretty cheesy. The show is so over the top PC that even PC fans probably lose their lunch watching it. Somebody wasted some really good camera work and a couple of the actors/actresses are pretty good or it'd be a 1 star effort.

Not only do we get the "White Male Police Brutality", we get the cuckolding of the of the "White Male". Way to keep the horseshit alive there liberal retards. There is such a thing as reverse racism and this ranks up there on that list. This is one of the main reasons I have stopped going to the theaters and now it appears I will have to stop watching anything produced via the Hollywood types. Really is sad the level of idiocy being produced. I remember when telling a story did not involve utilizing political jargon. I also remember when acting did not involve a green screen for effects and talent was real and not subjective.
