I watched this because of two reasons: it is in the front page of amazon prime video, and because of the very high ratings on IMDB and RT.I am glad I watched it.This is eight episodes long. The show progressively gets better and better until it reaches its climax and then its ending. Personally I would've liked more drama at the end, but I am satisfied with the ending. This is the kind of show you recommend to people to give a try.10/10. Good execution. I won't look for any faults in this series since I am satisfied. Some people are needlessly critical and fail to appreciate this great series. It is not perfect by any means, I mean, there are many implausible events that take place in the series (i.e. leaving your cell phone on a table outside without a password instead of your pocket), but I won't be judgmental like that. I appreciate the fact that I got to watch this great series! P.s. the intro-song was lovely!

Having never watched an Indian series before, I really had no idea what to expect when I sat down to watch Breathe - and it did not disappoint. From the very first scene I was glued to my screen (and have to note as well that the opening credits and accompanying music are also really good). The back story that ties the 2 main characters (Madhavan & Amit Sadh) together is both intelligent and original, and their shared bond/connection over their love for their children is incredibly poignant throughout the series. I found myself completely welled up with tears and reaching for my tissues in the episode where Kabir (Sadh) recalls the loss of his daughter - probably the most powerful scene in the whole series. Some of the other elements I found to be particularly endearing include little Josh - who makes all of his father's actions seem justifiable, and I also particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Kabir (Sadh) and Prakash (his partner). There is a classic good cop/bad cop element to their relationship that is entertaining and quite sweet to watch, providing some light-hearted smiles in some of the heavier scenes. There are no dull moments in this series, it's definitley worth watching. I'm looking forward to Breathe 2.

I had little to no expectations before I started the series, that's mainly because of what we have already seen in other Hindi TV series and soaps which runs for ages and makes no sense whatsoever and also our strong belief that an Indian tv/web series can never match the likes of what Hollywood produces which does stand true to a good extent even now no doubt about that, but after watching Breathe i must say we do have some hope, we have the right talent..maybe all they lack is a good platform.Madhavan was the reason I thought I should give it a shot, and it was worth it. He is a natural actor and He lived the character he plays in the series. Also, the Background score was just amazing it played a pivotal role in portraying the feelings and emotions of the series in the right way. The supporting roles played by some veteran Marathi actors deserve a special round of applause, great stuff.I personally thought the other lead role played by Amit sadh could have been better, decent acting by him but the role he plays needed someone more fierce perhaps. Overall this was a great watch and I'd definitely recommend it.

Reminds me of my childhood favorite TV serials , like Star Bestsellers and those short Telefilms which used to come on DD Metro on weekends.
